Paid full price Died after 9 months But they sent me a new replacement for free.
Bought this cell in July 2021 and struggled to keep it working until April 2022. I used many T15 cells before, They lasted 2 to 3 years, cleaned them every 2 to 3 months but this one is BAD. even the plates inside are too narrow and get clogged easy with debris. The salt value drops very rapidly even if my real salt value is 3400 ppm it shows 2600 then the next week is 2400 and chlorinator shuts off. Even if they say 1 year warranty..the return is for only 1 month.Update on July 20 2022The company contacted me and they said to sent it back to them. After they received it they found out that the cell was defective. They sent me a new one at no cost. Installed today and it works just fine.

Died 2 Months After Warranty Expiration
Not sure if this is planned obsolescence, but it sure seems like it. You'd think they could design the salt cells to be a little more robust. I ordered a T-9 equivalent in June 2021 to beat the price of Hayward T-9 by about half. It worked well for about 6 months and died. Sent all the photos of the controller readings to customer service/tech support. They were nice and responsive and determined that my salt cell was, indeed, dead. They delivered a replacement within a few days of verifying the failure and I was back in business. The replacement has been working flawlessly for 6 or 7 months. This month, August 2022, the "check salt" and "inspect cell" lights were blinking. I cleaned the salt cell which had a lot of buildup on the plates, but it did not stop the lights from blinking. I'm fairly certain that I have another failure, two months after the warranty has expired. Very frustrating. I'll be looking for a better full replacement warranty of at least two years on my next salt cell.

Cheaper cell, but not worth the value
I’ve had the original Hayward cell work for 6+ YEARS before it needed replacement. I bought the blueworks cell thereafter, but after 6 MONTHS it constantly started to blink indicating it needs cleaning or pool salt needs to be added. Irregardless of how much I tried to make this product work between the winter and summer of this year it would stop generating chlorine after few minutes to sometimes up to few hours if lucky before stop generating, and lights would blink again. I’m an Electrical engineer and fairly hands-on with my pool system that’s been working well, but in addition I had the water checked and rebalanced by Leslie’s (with so much added chemical cost due to lack of chlorine generation) and now Over a year later I’m fed up and concluded the cell is bad. Folks at Leslie’s also helped test and determine the same conclusion. I didn’t think this item would become bad this fast and always thought it was my pool or something else. I even changed the flow sensor etc to troubleshoot everything else. Now that I found out I had a 1 year warranty on blueworks cell, it had also expired. I would not be buying this again. 6 months (blue works cell) Vs 6 years (Hayward OEM cell) product life between the two cells is what I experienced.

Need cell type selection instructions, none available anywhere online
Came in fast and easy to install. Just installed this replacement cell. I need to program the proper cell type. My blue works control box shows options for F15 , C15, or what looks like an upside down F 15. I haven't heard back from Blue Works yet. I can't find any instructions anywhere online for this model number and what exact type it needs to be set as in the Blue Works control box.UPDATE 7/26—Blue Works replied and recommended trying selection h-15 or T-15. At least we know the upside down 4 is the h lol. I don’t have a choice for T15 so we’ll see how h15 does.

Excellent customer service
This is a replacement cell to our Hayward Aqua Rite salt system. Very easy to install and was producing chlorine within minutes.Product was working perfectly until recently. I noticed the system was reading low salt and was no longer producing any chlorine. I contacted customer service and after submitting a video of what was happening along with testing of the pool water they concluded the cell was defective and will be sending a replacement.4 stars for the salt cell since it did not last a full year, but 5 stars for the fact they stand behind their product.

Working great
Lady Hayward one I bought lasted two years. Time to try out a cheaper option. Two months in and this thing is working perfect. Super happy.

2nd REVISION... Replacement has been working...
The replacement cel was received and has been working since October 20th (about 2 months now). The only possible issue is that it is working TOO good! I have to turn it off periodically because the chlorine level gets too high, but I'm happy to live with this, especially when next summer rolls around and I'll need it to produce a lot more. Happy customer at this point! This is an update to the review below... the cell stopped working after several days. I've ordered a replacement unit so will update this review a few days after that one is installed.Just plugged this in yesterday and so far so good. I know it is generating based on the panel data. Also, it immediately measured salt correctly which was the problem I was having with my 4.5 year old Hayward cell. I would give it 5 stars if I had it running longer. Just have to wait and see. If it is still looking good in a month I'll increase my review to 5 stars.
