FANTISTIC ROD!!
I paired the 9 foot Battalion with my Penn Spinfisher V 6500 reel and it worked great! It's a light, well made rod with excellent action. The ability to enhance cast beyond the breakers of the Outer Banks made this purchase well worth it.

Very light but really strong
I used this down at the OBX, North Carolina and paired it with a 4500 series Daiwa BG. I didn’t catch anything big as you can see, but using a 3 ounce weight on a bottom rig and a fish finder rig I was easily able to cast out and catch some fish. It was comfortable to use each morning off the surf and was really solid in build. I can’t wait for my next beach fishing trip.
