LOVE THESE!
Love these! They are super absorbent and wick the moisture away much better than some of the cheesy polyester inserts that come with diapers. Work well at night, when changing diapers tend to be done less frequently. I have used them both inserted into a pocket diaper or simply lining the inside, and both work well.

and I like these inserts
I have been using cloth diapers for about and month, and I like these inserts. I presoak, wash and run them through an extra rinse, and so far they have retained their absorbency.

Very durable and absorbent but I am disappointed in the edging
Let me start with the fact that these are some durable inserts. This is the first time I've received just inserts but I do use Charcoal Bamboo inserts that have come with diapers in the past. I've been using these specific inserts for a few weeks now. They are charcoal gray, which is only my favorite color, and they are about 12 inches long. They are very light and very thin which was what I was expecting. They are absorbent and easy to use which is a really big difference from the way cloth diapering used to be. We used to have to wrap and load up on inserts and stuff diapers and do all of this crazy stuff, whereas now, we literally just use one or two inserts that are flat, thin and absorbent!I have used these right out of the package and was pleased with their durability and absorbency. I usually change my baby every few hours so there have been times where he soaks right through when he's wearing just one of these inserts in his diaper. Now if I plan on leaving him to sleep longer or know he's extra sleepy I just use two and they don't seem to be overly bulky and I haven't had any issues with leaks. I do understand that the more I wash the inserts, the more absorbent they become. This is a great fact to know if you are inexperienced with them. I feel confident in using just one during the day but I do double up at night. I will likely do this until I feel that they are more absorbent which will happen in time, just like all other inserts. I would probably recommend using 2 inserts until around the 20th wash depending on your washing routine and how heavy of a wetter your baby is. I wash my diapers and inserts about twice a week so maybe the 12 get washed once a week.So far, there have been two things that I was really disappointed with. I really went back and forth about a 3 or 4 star review. It's hard for me to give a three star review but in this case because these issues were manufacturing issues and the seller was apologetic and rectified the issue so quickly, I did feel that the product just had an issue and my experience with them has been positive overall. The first issue was with one of the inserts. There was a giant hole in it from the fabric not lining up together and just being sewn like that. I contacted the seller and they sent me a tester pack as a replacement, that is, 3 inserts, 1 to replace and 2 extra inserts for my trouble. The second and issue that concerns me more is the edging around the inserts. They are not the neatest which is disappointing because I want something that costs $35.99 to be perfect and well made. I expect to pay good money for a good product and although these are wonderful in all other areas (absorbency, strength, durability), I do wonder if I am going to see more and more of the inner microfiber towel coming through and getting on my clothes or diapers. That to me is just not something I'm excited about. I want to feel 100% confident that the item I am using is going to last the 20 washes I need it to last to reach the height of their absorbency. I don't think they will fall apart and they haven't thus far but there is always that thought and this issue makes them unattractive. Yes, I am fully aware that these are stuffed into a pocket diaper that nobody will see but I don't want shavings all over the other diapers or inserts. The white towel noticeably sticks out against the dark charcoal bamboo outer liner. I think the picture online is pretty accurate but unless you're looking closely, you're not going to see the white parts of the towel sticking out. Now, for my recommendation, I personally would not pay $35.99 for this set of inserts. In all honesty though, I don't feel comfortable paying that price for most things. When you weigh the pros and the cons of these inserts and take the price into consideration for the amount of inserts you receive, I could absolutely see how people could purchase them. Maybe I'm a cheap perfectionist and maybe I've spent too much time behind a sewing machine but I know what I would be willing to pay and I can't say this is a good price for me, for what I received. Now here's a twist, If it weren't for the edging they'd likely be my favorite set of inserts!I received this item at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions expressed are about my own personal experience and expressed to ensure that parents are purchasing the best inserts for their babies.

More absorbent, less leaking
Excellent diaper insert. I have found the charcoal inserts to be so much more absorbent than cotton or microfiber inserts, meaning less leaking!

So far so good! My kid is still a little small for the pocket diapers, but these pads seem to absorb whatever he sprays them with!
