Translating Totality in Parts: Chengguan's Commentaries and Subcommentaries to the Avatamsaka Sutra

Although this is a worthy effort, may I be forgiven for saying that this book requires some painstaking editing. In its current form, it can only convey an overall impression of the material it is attempting to present, as it contains too many translation errors, inconsistencies and lapses in coherence—all avoidable. It is to be hoped that Rev. Guo will be inspired to make the necessary revisions in a subsequent edition.

The introduction chapters enrich the reading of the translation of Chengguan's commentaries and the Flower Garland Sutra itself!I will be sending this as gifts!
