Hot off the heels of their critically acclaimed sixth studio album, "When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold", Slug and Ant bring you volume twelve of their Sad Clown series. Rounding out the seasonal EPs, this release marks the transition from winter to summer; a musical and lyrical rebirth. Produced by Ant (Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Felt, etc.). Catalog sales history of over half a million units. Look for upcoming appearances on Conan, Letterman, and Kimmel.

Zero for two
1st copy I ordered had a problem with the final song on side B. Every rotation in this defective area provided low quality sound, and was shrouded with static. My replacement provided the same problem too. After further research several people on discogs stated that they similar issues and the problem lies in the pressing.Besides the blemish on "Not another day," the vinyl sounded great. Amazon made my return easy.

Great tracks overall. I've been listening to Atmosphere for years, but only recently got this EP, and I'm glad I did. "Carry Me Home" alone is enough to warrant a five star review. Scott-Heron's vocal samples, the great beat, and of course Slug himself come together for one of my favorite Atmosphere songs of all-time. Happymess and Not Another Day are great songs as well, following the brilliance of Carry Me Home. Going back to the leading track, Less One has the funky almost reggae-like beat that Atmos sometimes uses with a classic anecdotal Slug rap. Not bad & worth a listen to say the least. This leaves the weak point of the EP, Good Daddy, which has an interesting story following Slug's "daddy" issues he often raps about, but the "punchline" seems just meh and kinda kills the track's replay value.

Another quality release from Slug & Ant
Atmosphere are nothing if not prolific, so all things considered it's quite staggering how consistently great their output is. "Spring" is the final in a series of four EPs commercially released and widely distributed. Every song on all the EPs is as good as any given album track by the group. Unlike most hip-hop artists who tend to peak fairly early on in their career and then slowly decline, Atmosphere just keep getting better.

Good price
I bought the cd for the Gil Scott rendition of carry me home. It sounds better than any downloaded version.
