This quality board adds a new dimension of enjoyment to the game
It took me several days of staring at this on my computer screen before I pulled the rip cord and bought it. After all, one does want to feel confident in buying a $90 cribbage board online. I needn't have worried. It is a thing of beauty and of quality. My neighbor with whom I play cribbage was present when I unpacked it. I immediately asked, "Are you down?" as I placed it in his hand. He looked straight at me. "I'm down," he said. We began playing immediately. I can't say for sure that this rock star of a board brought me luck, but I did win 3-0. A week and a half later, I cannot claim to still be undefeated. What I *can* say is:-wonderful worksmanship...smooth and not a burr anywhere. All holes and lettering symmetrical and easy to see.-it's heavy. Not too heavy to take on a hike, but it won't go flying if a table gets bumped, or if it's resting on the middle couch cushion between you when the dog jumps up. Also, not so light that it can't cause blunt force trauma. It's just right.-one straight piece...lies flat on a couch cushion, or a pebblely beach. No hinge to pop up on such surfaces and get on your nerves.-the pegs are like buttah. They drop easily into the holes and fit snugly without getting wedged in there like that cheap wooden board we've all be playing on (skipping over the holes where the plastic pegs broke off).-the sliding cover for the peg receptacle is metal as well, and fits smoothly and snugly. Ain't no pegs gonna fall out when you least expect it.-Did I mention it is gorgeous? The one thing I worry about is the gold board, if you're contemplating that color selection. In the photos, the contrast between the board and the etching seemed to small. It looked hard to read, especially in lower light. Could just be the photo. Bryce, chime in if I'm wrong.I also looked at a Corian board, which was about $40 cheaper (before shipping from Canada) and also 3-4" shorter. It had no peg storage for starters, and that's a total deal breaker.Bottom line: I made the right choice. The price is worth it. You'll have it forever. They'll probably bury me with this board. I'll look like hell, but it will look as good as the day I got it.

This might be my last Cribbage Board....Maybe
I suffer from Cribbage Board acquisition disease. In fact, I purchased my 1st board in high school based on the mystery of it - and then sought someone to show me how to play. Over they years I have acquired several boards in various sizes, patterns and materials. Just when I think I have every board I needs another comes along. This board has a lot going for it. Roughly 15" x 4" - it's just right for me. Fit and finish are impeccable. I always wanted a brass or metal board. The gold anodized finish is like a matte brass. The pegs are high quality, the little slot securely holds them. It is easy for my clumsy hands to peg. Another reviewer commented this board looks cheap. I don't like to start controversy, but this is made from a thick solid slab of aluminum and made in USA. Everyone has different expectations, but for this reviewer the board beats the "they don't build em like they used to" adage. Not sure they ever built them like this. I don't know the maker of these boards, but like to think there's a hardworking man behind the house in his detached garage making these for us cribbage players to enjoy. This board will last for several generations. I'm sure if the finish wears it will just add to its character.

hestitated for a long time......will buy again.
First let me say this....I've been looking at this cribbage board for a couple of month, thinking $90 for a cribbage board?! I even got a 2nd opinion from my husband and he was saying the same thing as I was. Kept looking for a cheaper one. Still coming back to this and reading reviews. After reading reviews and seeing how much people love this board, I decided to take a chance. This is one of those things that sometimes you say, you know what?? I'm buying it. If I don't like it, I'll return it. Guess what? We saw this and we love with this cribbage board that I didn't care how much I paid for it cuz it is worth every penny!! I was asked to write this review that I actually forgot how much I paid for that I had to look it up. Yup. This will be the very last board ever and I am so sure that another generation will get to play on this board too. Treat yourself. You deserve it and won't regret it. Your Toughest decision is....what color???Update: 3/17/2018. The best decision I made was getting this but I wish that I could find a storage case for it.

Might be the last board I ever buy - do yourself a favor and spend the extra few $$$
Seriously - its worth the money!I am a very casual cribbage player but have been playing a little more during the COVID-19 lock-down with my brother here in SoCal. I decided to buy myself a board and loved the ideal of a machined aluminum one when I came across it. I bought on impulse because if I over analyzed it I would have gone for a $25-40 wood one. I am glad I got the aluminum one as it is really built with excellence. The Blue finish is really pleasing in person and cannot wait to show it off. I know this is the last board I will ever buy (might inherit one or two in distant future though).

Showplace Cribbage Board
It arrived in excellent condition. Checked out every peg hole with the various pegs, no problems whatsoever. It is a showplace piece, the finish is great. The pegs are of excellent design, quality, and size. Am looking forward to the comments when I lay this on board on the table and begin a game. It's made in America. Great!Recommend etch lines marking 5 peg hole increments. Can easily loose count without the markings. I etched markings onto the board and counting is no problem.Suggestions: It would be nice to have a cloth or leather cover carrying sock to protect the finish of the unit. Also would like to have unit inscribed or maybe a small inscribed plate attached.
