Parafoil 5 Kite - Rainbow Tecmo

Nice kite. Works OK with GoPro, in a solid breeze, with some caveats
This is a solid kite, particularly useful because its design has no plastic or wooden struts so it can be rolled into its carrying bag and easily packed into a suitcase. The kite string comes on a plastic spool, an improvement on the little "brass knuckles" winder you typically get with drugstore kites, though it isn't as good as a two-handed "rolling pin" winder or reel winder.Using a GoPro kite mount, I flew the camera from this kite in a medium beach breeze. This kite can lift the camera, kite mount, and floaty door accessory - but only barely, in a medium breeze. Don't put the camera right up to the kite, and don't attempt to mount the top and bottom mount attachment to the bridle. That seriously unbalances the kite, and even if you can get it to take off it will dive and pitch and vibrate like crazy. Instead, let the kite run up by itself for 100-150 feet. This will help the kite get up to a reasonable height into the wind, away from the surface effects that can make the breeze erratic close to the ground. Then attach only the top leg of the GoPro mount, so it dangles down from the kite string, leaving the bottom leg unattached. Put an extra loop of string around one set of the legs of the mount, so the camera doesn't slide down the string. Then let the kite lift the camera up.You'll notice two things: first, the camera still swings and vibrates a lot, even when it looks relatively steady. For this reason I suspect that still photos are the best use of the GoPro kite mount, rather than movies. Take photos with the timelapse setting or the WiFi remote control feature. Second, the kite string will be set in two stages. In the top stage between the camera and the kite, the kite will pull the string up sharply, at a steep angle, just like it did before you put the camera on. But between the camera and you, the string angle will be much shallower as the kite can't lift the camera as easily as it can lift the string above it. You won't get the camera anywhere near as high as the kite is flying, but with several hundred feet of string left, it will still get decently high and pretty far away from you, which is the point.

A big hit
We didn’t use this too much this summer, but it was the most used item when we went. It was very fun to fly and was easy for little kids to fly when it was already in the air.

Worked Great.
1. Comes in a tiny bag. Easy to pack in. Kind of like packing a sleeping bag into the storage bag it comes with except there's plenty of room.2. Virtually no assembly: Tie the string to the circular plastic piece of the kite, snap the tail on and you're set. Takes 60 seconds.3. 500' of string. So long we could barely see the kite in the sky!Very happy we got this kite. It's colorful and has a neat design. No plastic rods to snap. You can literally crush it into a ball and shove it in the carrier bag. Kids had a blast.

My Niece and Nephew love it!
I bought this to enjoy with my niece and nephew...Its great! there is nothing to put togather...all you do is tie the kite to the provided rope. As soon as i tossed it up the thing took off...great design.Be Careful...they give you 500ft of rope and i thought it would be awesome to let it all out, while it was awesome seeing it soooo high in the sky...it was not fun reeling in 500 feet of rope! lol

Fun Kite
Fun kite. I originally thought it would go more vertical into the wind, but it sort of went more horizontal than I was expecting it to. Love the fact that it has no braces that can break in travel, I can easily see using this at the beach.

Fun kite!!
We love this kite! It's big, sturdy and has a great spool. We have taken it out several times, the kids love it and it always winds up nicely at the end.
