Fun project!
It is somewhat easy enough to follow. I'm not an expert, but have taken some classes before so I kinda know what I'm doing. The strings they offered in the pack are definitely more than enough to complete this, with some colors that are not even used according to the instruction. So I improvised a little thinking I'd have enough to complete anyway, and didn't follow the coloring/stitching instructions to a T. However, I have to say the picture of the instructions isn't... great. There are ways they stitch the cactus that was...not pretty to me. In a sense, I can see that it would be real challenging for a true beginner to follow the photo and do it accordingly. So again, I improvised and did it my way. All in all, it was a good project to keep me occupied and doing something I was good at, and I have the intention to gift this to a friend who loves llama too so it's a meaningful project after all. Would definitely recommend!

Beginners beware
Really beautiful, came with everything I needed.. except instructions! I bought this with no clue what I was doing, just wanted to try a new hobby and thought this was pretty. It does come with a layout of what colors and stitches go where, but not how to do the stitches. I resorted to YouTube videos but still can't backstitch without it ripping through. I don't know if that's my fault or the fabric is too weak. I've gotten about halfway through but kinda gave up. I'm sure this kit is great if you already know the basics of embroidery, but it left me feeling frustrated.

Fun and easy, looks good
I got this to use as a seasonal decoration in my new home. Comes with everything you need, which is nice. This was my first time embroidering / cross stitching since I was a kid, but it was very easy to pick back up again. The instructions are a little clumsy but it is simple enough to figure out on your own. Watch some YouTube videos for some extra help beforehand. Also, remember to separate the floss according to the number of stands specified, don't just charge in with the full thread or it'll be way too bulky. FYI, the blue guide outline does indeed wash away, just soak in water for a few minutes and agitate lightly. End product looks very appealing!

Disappointing but inexpensive
Cute patterns but really boring as only three different stitches are used throughout (Straight Stitch, Back Stitch, and French Knot). However, I don’t intend to limit myself to using only the stitches in the instructions. Said instructions are so small I made an enlarged (150%) copy and still had to use magnifying glass.Separating 6-strand floss to create 4-strand floss takes a LOTS and LOTS of time, and the (low quality?) floss tangles vey easily. To top it all off, the fabric is incredibly coarse and stiff, and difficult to work with, and it makes a popping sound everything the needle enters the fabric.I purchased the Alpaca and Deer Kits The deer kit fabric is easier to work with, but it still has inherent problem of minimal stitch types and difficult to read instructions. In one white area the instructions say to use Blue threads. And some areas are devoid of instructions. Additionally, some areas of the Deer appear to be "outlined" but there is no reference to these areas at all. There are some nice kits on Etsy - just a thought ?

A nice product but not best for a first kit
Had to take some artistic liberties because the way the package suggested the stitch direction on certain parts just bothered me. The color directions are not awesomely laid out, I ended up not even using one color because I couldn’t figure out where it was supposed to even be and by the time I figured it out I was over it. Not a bad kit, end product is nice, comes with everything you need and plenty of floss but would not choose this as a first timer pattern.

Do not wet the pattern.
First time I've done cross stitching, but I have art and needle craft experience so this wasn't too hard for me to pick up. However, I have seen people add colors to theirs with water color, so I did this in this case to add color to the background. The full pattern washed out. So I just drew a new one. Picture provided you can see the blue ink that bled all around the rim of the design. This is also not traditional cross stitching, the cloth does not have sections/holes or guide lines. it's just a solid piece.

Lovely finished product
As other reviewers have said, the instructions are a little difficult to understand. There is some guesswork involved as not every space is labeled. I took some artistic liberty on the design- I changed the coloring of the ears and the birds, and used chainstitching for the flowers and leaves. I'm not sure why so much floss is included in this kit. I could probably embroider 4 or 5 more of these deer scenes with the amount left over. I'll think of another project for this but it seems wasteful and unneeded. Overall it's a decent kit, very relaxing to do and the finished artwork is beautiful.

Everything you need to start embroidery!
I’m new to embroidery and this little kit is perfect for beginners with everything included! It also comes with 16 extra needles. This project features a beautiful pattern design with thorough instructions on how to fill it in. It’s very relaxing.
