Disappointing quality
Not sure if what I received is not genuine, or some QC-reject item, but the quality is not the same as other Noritake mugs currently in use in our home. The gold painting on this mug has begun chipping away from the first wash itself, while the others we've been using for several months have not even a scuff mark, despite being washed in a dishwasher most of the times. I am surprised to see the paint on the top rim of this getting scratched out with almost every wash (hand or dishwasher). Hardly use this anymore to avoid damaging it too much.

Not as bright as the original one I had
I had one similar mug which I had bought from a mall in Bangalore, which unfortunately broke.This one looks similar but there is definitely a reduction in quality (gloss and brightness). Also the original one I had was made in SriLanka. This one most probably was made in Chnia.
