Nothing Awesome!
For extremely small tanks only like 20 gallons or less or a fish bowl.Nothing great interms of efficiency and usage just average, not worth the cost.Buy bigger size if tank is about 55 gallons.

Most high quality of all siphons.
Ok. Right off the bat I bought two of these. I have many many siphons. From now these to the aqueon minis, to hyger water changing system that hooks up to the faucet (python clone) to using various ID canister filter tubing, airline tubing, co2 tubing. I use many and have used many means to clean and change water. Now I don’t run “fish tanks”. I’m an aquascaper who strictly uses high end rimless aquariums and canister filters. Plants and hardscape are the focus of my hobby. So I may or may not have fish at any given time in a scape. And that might be a small school of neons or rasboras or a Betta. Mostly I’m just plants, hardscape, and my never ending colony of Bloody Mary shrimp. So my take maybe a little different than most customers of this product. That caveat out of the way; I run aqua soil in nearly every tank with the very rare exception of an epiphyte only scape where I choose a thin layer of sand as a base, but that’s rare. You don’t vacuum aqua soil. Especially when delicate carpets are growing. That being said you still need to remove detritus from the soil without disturbing plants and roots. Basically carefully blast the soil with a baster or pipette while siphoning the kicked up detritus. I searched so hard to find the right diameter and softness of tubing to be able to do this without draining all my water before cleaning the soil. Most vacuums are too big for this. I mostly run nanos. My biggest scale is 20 gallons. I’m space limited currently. I run 20 down to as small as 2 gallons. Airline is too small to do this effectively. Others are too big. Even when controlling the flow by pinching the tubing it was very difficult. That’s where this python comes in. It is the most high quality tubing in all the siphons I purchased. It happens to be a great size for smaller tank with the perfect ID tubing for when I’m trying to clean aqua soil as I described above. Now for regular good old water changes it’s a little slow for my bigger tanks but I don’t mind bc I like to clean very thoroughly. Very rarely do I just do a water change.TLDR; it’s great quality. It’s small. Smaller than aqueon nano. The tubing is of the very highest quality as is the vacuum. It can be a little slow draining as the ID of the tubing is pretty small (can be a good or bad thing depending) for $6 it’s great and it’s a great tool added to my many. Very happy I bought two.

Perfect for smaller tanks
I have a fluval flex 9 and 15. This is the perfect size for these tanks. The suction is enough to clean the tank bottom and because the tube and vacuum are quite small, I'm finding that I have time to clean the entire bottom before it drains more the the 15% of the water out. I had a bigger one before but had to work really quick as it drained so quick. It's perfect and made well too. If you have anything over I'd say a 20gal it would be to small.

PERFECT!
I bought the mini version for my 25litre tank- it's a tall tank so siphoning the gravel isn't easy but it's not that difficult either and I wouldn't swap this size version for a bigger one.Since the tank is on a cabinet and above the bucket I siphon the dirty water into, i put the siphon head into the tank then suck the tube on the other side. as soon as the water starts coming down i put the tube into the bucket- it didn't take me long to get the hang of it.The tubing itself is made from exceptional quality- it's thick and strong. The siphon head doesn't have a lining to stop fish or shrimps getting picked up and trapped, but the 'neck'? of the plastic siphon is incredibly narrow and actually when siphoning the fish don't like to get near me anyway so i'm not worried they'll get hurt. One issue i do have though is if i don't pull the siphon up fast enough and too much gravel gets lifted up, occasionally bits of gravel will get sucked up too far. they then get stuck in the neck part of it and it stops the water flow. I then have to separate the tubing from the siphon head to release the bits of gravel and then reconnect them, and 9/10 times this will mean I have already broken the water flow and have to restart the process. This is my only issue and it's partly due to my own error anyway, so I would still buy it again if I needed to.One question I do have is that some parts of the tubing had originally gone a dark green colour, which I assumed was from me just forgetting to wash the inside with clean water. It now got a few PINK/RED patches, again on the inside, and this time I have no idea what's caused it. I don't have any red tinted plants in the tank. It may be bacteria, I don't know... but it hasn't gone yet. I'm not that bothered by it as I only use the siphon to take dirty water out and not fresh water. This is just something to bare in mind.Python is an exceptional brand and definitely worth the money. The mini version I bought is at a very reasonable price and cheaper than some of the other branded siphons that are also on sale on amazon and are not built nearly as well. This is a simple yet very effective product.
