Size:18-ft. Pool | Color:17 - Ultimate The Robelle Ultimate Winter Pool Cover is a premium-grade solid winter pool cover. Solid pool covers do not allow water to pass through their material. The Robelle Ultimate Winter Pool Cover features a premium-grade 14 x 14 scrim. The premium-grade polyethylene material used for this cover weighs 5.2 oz./yd2. Both the scrim count and material weight are the best indicators of the strength and durability for your pool cover. A pool cover with an extremely high scrim count and a heavy material, like the Robelle Ultimate Winter Pool Cover, will last longer than any other pool cover. This is a premium-grade pool cover designed to protect your pool from all winter elements. The Robelle Ultimate Winter Pool Cover features a charcoal topside and a black underside. This pool cover includes a perimeter binding. Please order by your pool size, as the overlap goes beyond the pool size listed. This cover includes a four-foot overlap. If you have a very large top rail, please consider a larger pool size. This cover should be able to comfortably float on the pool water without excessive stress. This cover is not meant to be used as a debris cover during the swimming season. This winter pool cover is intended to be used during the off-season. This cover is meant for traditional above ground pools with a traditional top rail. Includes a winch and cable that should be used to secure your pool cover through the grommets around the perimeter of the pool cover. For extra securing, cover clips and cover wrap (both sold separately) are suggested for pool closing. No other method of installation is recommended..

Not good, not good at all
The tarp is fine, but you can buy it elsewhere much cheaper. The winch sucks right away. Don't install it with kids around, They shouldn't hear the things you'll say out loud while trying to get it set up.Then, it comes apart. More bad language. Now the neighbor kids are hearing you and telling their parents. They come out waving their arms all over the place because of the words their kids young virgin ears have just heard. Before you know it the cops are showing up from the ruckus, you're being taken downtown, all the while explaining it was the cheap winch that came with a pool cover. Now they are trying to pin a robbery from 1986 on you even though you were in school at the time. You end up making bail, lots of money, having to get a lawyer, even more money, and find out the judge is no other than Judge Judy. Now she's berating you, ripping you a new one while you try to tell her about the cheaply made piece for the cover. She's not hearing it. You lose. You pay more money for court cost and more to your lawyer, who by the way seems to be making late night house visits to your wife while you are at your second job you had to take to cover the cost of the extra charges all due to a little piece of fake metal winch that has 1 job and it couldn't do it.Find something better.

Buy by the scrim cnt for quality
This review is for the Robelle “Premium” above ground pool winter cover. When looking for a cover, the “scrim” numbers are what you want to pay attention to if the duty cycle and quality are what you want. Think of the scrim as thread count, the higher the number, the thicker the material, the better the quality, the longer it last. My last cover was a 12x12 scrim, lasted for 6 yrs. This PREMIUM cover is a better 14x14 scrim and noticeably thicker and heavier material. I expect it will last as long or longer than the previous one. Out of the box, the cover was in great shape, no loose threads or grommets. The cable tie system with ratchet lock worked perfectly. The 2 ft overlap, which means my 24 ft cover was actually 28 ft, gives plenty of extra overlap when installing on the pool. The quality of this cover seems better than any I have purchased in the past. The reviews you read here are grouped together for all of these covers, from the cheap, to the expensive. When reading reviews, click on the reviewer name to see which item they reviewed, may not be yours. If you want to replace every season, buy cheap, low scrim. It’s cheaper to buy quality and only replace every 5 or more yrs. Your choice. I say this is a really good quality cover and I do recommend this “Premium “ cover.

Pool owner for 21 years
*****NOT MADE IN CHINA*****This cover is made in Vietnam, which based on my initial view is a big plus. I have seen a lot of crappy covers over the past 21 years, and so far I am very happy with this one. This cover is by far the most generous in size of any cover I have ever owned. Most of the time they barely fit over the edge of the top rail. This one provides substantial overhang. In years past I have had quality control issues with grommets being bent, missing, out of alignment, or improperly spaced. Everything with this one is perfect.A little note about warranties in general for those who hold them in high regard. Having had a pool for the past 21 years I have come to recognize these so called 10 or 15 year warranties is nothing more than a flat out lie. Once I had a cover split apart along the main center seam after an arduous week of use. That particular seller would not accept a picture, but instead wanted me to repackage their garbage and mail it to them. All of which would cost roughly as much as a new cover. As such, I have no expectation whatsoever that I'll be able to collect on a warranty let alone get more than 2 years, 3 if I'm really lucky, out of any cover. The winters here in central New York are just too brutal. So I base my review on my initial findings with the cover. If it fails to make the 2nd year I'll downgrade the review. If it makes it beyond the 3rd year I'll also note that as well. Also I don't bother with the center pillow float anymore either. The foolish things deflate halfway through the winter and never provide any benefit.***************************************FINAL UPDATE DECEMBER 10, 2018*******************************************************After the 2nd winter I noticed some areas had thinned. This is the 3rd winter and almost immediately one of those areas ripped apart. Overall, I feel it was still a very good cover compared to other ones I've had over the years.

Its bigger than you think
Its a nice cover, incredibly cheap. Looks solid and survived easily its first UK winter and 2 stroms. One thing to know is that its 2 foot bigger than the size you order. Not a massive problem but we would have ordered a smaller size if we knew as we ordered bigger and now have one that nearly touches the floor. The plus side is we can use pegs to peg it down rather than just rely on the cord.

Hassel free replacement cover. Thanks
Ordered 24' round cover . It fits perfectly much better quality than I expected unfortunately the grommet was crushed, didn't find that out untill near the end. Was talking to customer service about a replacement cover and of coarse all out. Being as helpful as there are they asked if it was usable for the winter and it was. They told me because the damage was going to prematurely wear I could use it and they would send me a replacement top as soon as they had more in. No hassle what so ever great service I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Thanks

Not as durable as described.
Quality of product very disappointing. Claims to be good for multiple winter seasons but did not even make it through one! Most grommets tore through fabric.

Buy a clothes line tensioner to tighten the cover
Wire rope tensioner is not strong enough to hold the cover in place. I replaced the tensioner with a clothes line tensioner and problem solved
