Decapitated after a few days of (supervised) play
My dog loved this toy - until the head came off after a few short days. No toy is indestructible, but I can't blame this one on the dog. This toy is mostly neoprene, but has small ribbon-like sections of material at the attachment points, I assume to protect the rubber 'launcher' cord. This piece of material came completely unstitched from the neoprene after a few dozen launches, allowing the cord to pop out of the head and rendering the launcher useless. Incredibly disappointing.

Fun but not durable.
My dogs are crazy for this thing! They go absolutely crazy for this sling shot toy! It shoots a good 20-30’ across the yard and they both go chasing after it. Then the fight for it ensues then the tug of war and the inevitable chase after the winner around the yard until they bring it back and repeat the process over again. My biggest complaint is that it’s not too durable. We have mutts, not rabid chewing pit bulls or anything. The edges of the wings are sufficiently lined and stitched although they break down fairly quickly. The biggest issue is the tail! It pops right out of the rear and seems to only be held in with a zip tie! I will continue to buy and replace the old one until I find something more durable.

Loves her Duck...
This is Nala's fourth duck in the year that we had her. She love the duck. It's one of her favorite toys but she beheads the duck in about two days. We received this one on Saturday around 10 am and by 3 pm she took the head off again. And not with rough play. She holds the duck body down and pulls and the head pops off. I did resew the head on the others but she still took them off. I sew up where the head goes so she can still play with them until the stuffing starts to come out then I throw it away.

for dog loves "keep away" jumping/ cognitive stimulation and/or prey driven -BUY THIS
My dog is an energetic 2 ish year old and he tries to get satisfaction from chasing the bones we will toss and shaking them, doesn't seem like enough. This toy suits him on so many levels. You can launch it into the air so he can leap & pronk & grab it. He doesn't "fetch" he brings it back to you to see if you can get it away from him. Dog is young, medium sized, fast & agile, so I get some exercise here too. Toy is durable, my dog is a STRONG chewer, left alone long enough w/this he would get that stuffing out. I'm not going to waste it for him to chew. whichever someone(s) engineered this put A LOT of thought into it & had a dog like mine in mindTY!! we will save/relish it for PLAY time!

good quality
my lab loves these shooter toys, and she has several of them. we have several because they don't usually last but i like the material this one is made of, it is tougher than most ...almost like rubber. the rubber band thingy seems tougher too and it shoots very well. too well for in the house almost. it has been holding up nicely and gets played with daily.brighter colors would be nice so it is easier to see in the pool for her.

FUN blue duck flyer
After owning this for awhile, I happily recommend. This is a very wonderful toy for our dog. It is fun to play with, and if accidently left out in the rain..it survives! We use an old broom handle to catapult the duck..can get a bit more leverage & air lift this way. It is VERY sturdy and shows no sign of ripping or tearing, especially the stretchy pull part. I had a different brand..that did not hold up at all. Even when not "flying" the toy..our young Golden loves carrying blue duck around & even s-h-a-k-e-s it heartily..making us laugh out loud.

Awesome Toy
This toy is absolutely fabulous. My dogs LOVED it...for about 45 minutes. I would definitely buy this again but it has to be a toy used with supervision! My two big dogs would run to get it and then they would play tug of war or run around stretching the launcher part...and we left them unsupervised playing with it and then when I turned around it was in two pieces. :( I still think it's a great dog toy and the Nerf brand items are built to last (our dogs are just brutes so things don't last too long no matter how well it's made).

My Husky Rips throught then in a few days, But he loves them!
They don't last too long with my Husky. He'll rip through them in a couple of days to get to the squecker. But he definitely loves them and they are fun and go long distance with their rubber necks to toss. On here ordering my 5th or 6th one now for him. I usually get him a new one every few months even though I know it'll be innthe garbage in 2 days LoL. He gets so excited soon as he sees it. But if you dont have a big breed, they do seem durable. Just not Husky proof LoL!

Good enough
I rated this so highly because my dog absolutely loves it. He's obsessed with flying creatures and this clearly engages his prey drive.Extremely difficult to fire it anything like is claimed in the item however it's enough of a distance to tire my dog out after a good few rounds of fetch. The rope element at the tail end allows for mild tug play. Because of this I can't use it with one of my dogs, who becomes possessive. The item provides too much for him to get a hold of.There's enough variation in texture for my dog to happily sit there chewing it, although I doubt the manufacturers recommend it.Material is thick and stitching is quite strong but it's still obviously not a toy for heavy chewers, possessive dogs etc.Good delivery.

Our dog LOVES this toy!!!
We've now bought two of these. The first lasted us over a year although the elastic holding the head on came off about 6-months after. The body kept going strong with our dog never managing to tear into the duck or rip it. Unfortunately we lost it on a rooftop on a windy day. The second needed stitching and gluing around with wings within two weeks of purchase to keep it together, so I guess it really depends on how each individual toy was put together. That said, our dog absolutely loves his duck!Update: mid May, the elastic on the head broke, decapitating ducky and making him a throw toy which gets some good air, and is still his favourite toy!

Rips too easy and sling design is poor.
Great for 30 mins until he ripped into it. Not a big dog either and doesn't normally rip any of his toys but it just seemed too easy to do considering it's meant for big dogs. Should be made from different material. Also hard plastic at the end of body so if you don't move your thumb away quick enough when you launch it the hard plastic will smash straight into your thumb. Not a great design.

My Chocolate Labrador loves...them
From here to the moon and back, this is my Labradors FAVOURITE toy. Unfortunately they only last around 2 months before "Bluey" has to be replaced. Not surprising considering the amount of hammer they get. I just wish they were a reasonable cost. :(

It didn’t last a month
Gave to our dog at Christmas and it hasn’t lasted a month. It’s been ripped open and the stuffing pulled out. Let’s put things in perspective. We have an American Field Labrador that attends children’s hospitals for poorly kids to fuss over. Our dog occasionally played with it and rarely gnawed it. I have to say I was surprised when I noticed the body and head were made from a plastic. It’s obviously an inferior product and would strongly suggest anyone to steer clear of it. Save your money and go elsewhere. Sorry Nerf, this is rubbish
