The pieces are small, as expected. The counters roll off the boards very easily. It worked putting a kitchen towel under the board to catch the balls as they rolled. I do not want the dog or the baby to find these small balls before I do! The directions that came with the set made it easy for me to use the materials with my student. We used the division board to work out a problem from his math book. Having a visual aid to talk out the problem and physically work out the problem helped his understanding of long division. I would buy it again and recommend this for homeschooling or alternative schooling as a math manipulative for elementary students.

I love the boards and how quickly they taught my 8 year old multiplication AND division. They clearly explain why multiplying and dividing are needed. The boards are sturdy, the beads are light but durable. These will last a long time.

Great multiplication board. However, having extra counting beads supplied with the board would be appreciated, as young kids are bound to lose track of small wooden beads all over the house.

Standard boards for Montessori multiplication and division. Real wood and decent quality. It is maybe slightly lower quality than what they use in my son’s classroom, but it does the job and it’ll last for when my daughter gets to those lessons too.

Overall a good buy, and helpful for teaching kids simple math. The depressions for the pieces could be a little deeper to hold them better, but that's a minor thing.
