STAR WARS The Black Series Emperor Palpatine Force FX Elite Lightsaber with Advanced LED and Sound Effects, Adult Collectible Roleplay Item

This thing is legit, the real deal. After 15 years of waiting for an FX version of the lightsaber of Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine, they definitely did not disappoint here, as they have definitely delivered a product that both looks and feels worth the money. 1) Construct: the hilt is solid metal, very heavy compared to others I have in my collection. I honestly have to say this one feels like the best quality of any I have thus far acquired. The weight alone is a testament to the quality of the materials. There are two emitter heads that can screw on and off at will, one being for displaying the hilt alone and the other for when the blade is attached. It is easy to switch them out, so you can display the lightsaber with or without the blade as you please and switch back and forth if you so choose. 2) Lighting and Sound Effects: if you have visited Galaxy's Edge, you will be familiar with how the blade attaches and detaches. The blade and the sound box within the hilt both are fantastic, emitting great quality light from the blade and great quality sound effects from the hilt. 3) Display Stand: LOVE this. The stand is a great way to display the lightsaber whether that be with the blade or without (easier to do so without obviously, but I digress). The stand has the look and feel of the Imperial era wall designs seen on board both the first and second Death Stars, and it is a great look for this particular lightsaber given this weapon belongs to the Emperor himself. OVERALL SCORE: 10/10, A+++. Here's hoping they continue on with this sort of quality with all lightsabers as we go into the future.

This is a black series lightsaber but has the feel of the signature series. The weight of the saber is heavier than others and the finish is excellent. This saber has a lot of genuine metal in it (not a lot of plastic). It comes with two attachments. One attachment holds the blade but can be easily removed and a second attachment can be put on when you just want the base of the saber for display. The battery compartment is a little different than other signature or black series sabers. You have to remove a screw with an Alan wrench (wrench supplied) to get the battery compartment open. The saber uses three AA batteries (not AAA’s like others). The sound volume is a little quieter than other signature or black series sabers but still enjoyable! Overall I’m very pleased with this product and would rank it well or higher among the other black or signature series sabers.

This is a nice lightsaber, even if larger than the movie prop. Sensitivity and features beat the Disney Legacy lightsabers. Quality was def put into it, but it’s a bit on the high side price wise. At $168 it’s a good deal on sale. The stand it come with is awesome but mine broke in half just trying to push in the plastic holder that holds the saber on the stand. Just pushing it in the stand snapped in half. Either it was a weak point where the cutouts were or just a faulty mold. The replacement is fine and didn’t have that issue. The saber itself had no issues at all and works great.

I'm impressed with this lightsaber. The new FX Elite blade lights up very smoothly - much better than any previous FX lightsaber or Galaxy's Edge Legacy Lightsaber. The hilt is solid. I don't care if it isn't to scale vice what was in the movie. It does come with a separate cap for cosplay that makes it more like Palpatine's in the movie but obviously you cannot use the blade with it. It comes with a decent-looking stand and the speakers are okay. Nobody since the older FX lightsabers (pre Black Series) has made a saber with a decent speaker or motion sensitivity. I've bought a lot of lightsabers from Hasbro and Galaxy's Edge and I have to say Hasbro has stepped up their game with the Force FX Elite lightsabers judging from this one alone. Hopefully the Mandalorian dark saber I preordered will be just as nice.

Finally, at last have I long awaited for this saber replica. IRONIC, Now I am THE SENATE with this diabolical Sith lightsaber!!! Unique features only to FX Elite models such as blaster bolt deflection, wall cutting effect, flash on clash, and my favorite: Force Lightning (ZAP!) are true. It is indeed hefty, thick and durable, but well-balanced. The buttons are easily activated when pressed (both intentially and accidentally). The only annoying thing is the hex key it comes with for changing batteries near the pommel; the hex is so small it slips through fingers when using. Otherwise, this saber replica is ideal for display/cosplay (due to removable blade) and light sparring but not for heavy swordplay. (Leave that to the custom FX sabers with mid/heavy grade polycarbonate tubes.) Well worth the money!!! A+++ P.s. and if you don't agree with me, IT'S TREASON THEN (*ignites lightsaber*)

Overall it's a decent lightsaber. It does look like palpatine's from the movie other than the fact that it's a little big. Because of its size it is not exactly movie accurate, but still a decent buy. Very heavy and solid. The blade being removable with a solid stand for the hilt is a nice bonus. If you're a collector that likes to have a mint looking box, mine did not come in great shape. Luckily I don't care for that collecting part of it. I only keep the box for storage if I need to move.

The detail and quality are incredible. The lightsaber has many techy cool aspects, as well as being much heavier and larger than one would expect from your general lightsaber. It's pricy but I'm so glad to have it, even if I paid many credits. It lights with contact, has a super easy and quick start, powers up in swift stages so you can see it climb up and down, like in the films/tv series. Plus it's /Palpatine's lightsaber./ I would say the extreme quality isn't an understatement. It's the only Black Series Force FX lightsaber I own so I can't compare it to similar. Much superior to my YDD saber, but the YDD one is good too for money.

Un bel objet mais un peu cher, je ne vois pas trop ce qui justifie un prix plus élevé que celui d'Obi Wan ou Kylo Ren. Sa rareté peut-être mais vraiment pas sûr qu'il soit si difficile à trouver. Probablement le plus joli de ma collection quand même, le sabre est livré avec son socle et une clé pour ouvrir l'emplacement des piles. Méfiance à l'ouverture, le système pour loger les piles est presque éjecté du sabre.
