I purchased this as a gift for my nine-year-old for Christmas. She loved this kit. It served its purpose as it kept her busy, got her creative juices flowing, and gave her something to smile about in the end. I took one star off because I didn’t feel there were enough directions. I had to sit and think about a few of the steps. Example... The tissue paper included is just (1) in quantity, but it's because you are expected to measure and cut, with the rest going to the other lantern.It took us a while to finish the first, but she flew the second one With no assistance.

I ordered this for my preschool granddaughters, ages 3 and 4. It was PERFECT! The kit comes exactly as described, and the jars come packaged in protective styrofoam. My preschoolers needed just a bit of help from me, but it would also be perfect for older kids, who could be creative and do it all themselves. The kit comes with enough materials for two beautiful fairy jars. The girls ran around in the yard at dusk with them lit, and then set them beside their beds as nightlights. The tiny string of LED lights are not too bright, but just perfect for a little nightlight. The top of the jar has a convenient button for little fingers to turn the lights on and off easily. Takes 2 AAA batteries. This would make the best gift! I would definitely buy this kit again!

My 10 yo daughter loved this craft. She was able to do the entire craft herself. She only asked for advice but did not need me to do anything for her. I wish the lights had timers so as not to waste battery power. But they are pretty little nightlights for the bedroom. I do shut them off most of the time after she falls asleep.

This was the perfect project for nanny’s little girls! It One is 5 yrs old and the is 7 yrs old. It wasn’t to hard or to easy. Makes a good little night light for them. Would highly recommend!

Fun mother/daughter project. Didn’t come with instructions but fairly easy to figure out (plus google/YouTube helped).

My kids loved these lanterns! I bought these as gifts and they had so much fun working on them. They are glass jars and do require batteries for the lights to work. They look adorable when finished!
