Mission Mounts MC14 AC Outlet Wall Mount for Nest Cam

This clever mount was obviously made with Nest Cam and predecessor DropCam Pro in mind. For the original 720P DropCam the diameter of this ring mount does not snap onto the DropCam as the mounts ring diameter is slightly larger than required. That said, I was still able to get original DropCam to work despite the sloppy fit because the short cable helps hold it somewhat still, and once plugged into a wall plug, the camera can only fall back a very short distance to the wall. You can get it to sit still and do its job in this mount, but it would be nice if Mission would offer something specific for the original DropCam to fit properly. The white cube shaped DropCam power adapter did fit fine in its place on the mount, covered by the black snap cover. These well made original 720p DropCams will be useful for many years of service, and I hope Mission can help us find new mount solutions to continue using them.

Great product but a little tricky at first to understand how to set it up since it doesn't come with a instruction manual of some sort. Seems simple but it's a little tricky to set up when you've never done it. At first it'll seem that the hole is too small and the power adapter won't fit. You'll need to pop the square cap in the back (actual cap is the black square with rounded edges you see in pic below camera face) to allow the adapter to slide in all the way then put the cap back on. You'll also need to remove the ring from the old NEST stand around the camera so it can snap properly in place since it won't click securely if not removed. Lastly, they should make a version of this where it allows you to rotate the camera. Since it is designed for the outlet you are basically stuck with whatever the outlet is facing. That's the only cons in my opinion.

I don't normally review items but this one had me convinced that it didn't work with the older Dropcam branded cameras.I think the maker does a poor job of explaining that their item does/does not work with the various versions of the Dropcam/Nestcam product.To clarify. The camera fits the ring just fine, but I was certain that the power supply would not fit into the frame.Several buyers have stated the same and the answers have been both yes and no.In the end, the power supply does fit. You just have to remove the black cap from the frame and forcefully push it in from front to back. Then replace the cap.I would give more stars if the maker did a better job of explaining and documenting how.

It's a good product. Only one I've seen that does this. A couple of notes: only works with the square power brick version of the camera. If yours has the round charger (most new do), this is not for you. The other thing is that it is very much plastic. If this is a set and forget solution you will love it. If you are planning on constantly adjusting, you may end up breaking. Overall, excited to have it and looks clean on the inside wall facing the front door

Great idea and works great with my 2 OLDER DROPCAM cameras, but not my newer NEST cameras that I just purchased. This is because the dropcams have a square power plug and the nest now come with a round one. The boxes say works with NEST so be sure of which camera you have. Also, both I received look like they had been opened previously so I'm not so happy about that since they were advertised as new.

This item is totally awesome. If you want to get rid of unsightly clutter of long wires and keep your home decor clean, organized and inconspicuous - this is what you need for your NEST camera system. Of course, you can only use this item if you have the square shaped outlet plug that comes with the camera. I ordered a 3 NEST cam set package and it came with round shaped outlet plugs so they were returned. Keep in mind, this mount does not allow your camera to be angled at all. All you get is a straight shot out from the wall that it is plugged into. If that is the picture your aiming to view and record then it works just fine. I like it very much.

I have a Dropcam that I bought the Nest Mount for. The square plug fits fine in the mount, but the camera does not. The circular cutout is too large for the Dropcam camera. The camera does not snap into place and falls out. However, I added a couple pieces of double-sided tape to the mount which holds the camera in place. Not ideal, but it's working for now.

Concept is great BUT I have the DropCam which is the older version of the Nest Cam and the camera did not fit in the cut out. Instead it was way too loose and kept falling out. I wish that I knew prior to purchasing that this would not fit the older models. Also, I'm not sure if it was because the camera wouldn't stay snug or not but this angle from a wall outlet was kind of strange. I guess if it was higher up on a wall it would work well but most of my outlets are at ground level and this didn't capture anything but the view of my floors.
