Yes, that’s one of the reasons it made. I have an old TV and use this device to connect my chromecast device. It works great. The other products like this one that I have purchased in the past have failed to operate after about 2 years of use. Not sure how long this one will last. But for now it’s doing a great job.

Yes, it certainly will. As long as the TV has an RCA connection.

will it work with dish wally and fire stick using a HDMI switch

It doesn't work with Roku or Firestick because those devices are able to detect screen resolution and they require an HD screen in order to function. Blu-Ray players are less picky, though.
