biOrb HALO 15 Aquarium with MCR Lighting - 4 gallon, Grey (45653)

This is hands down the best tank I have ever purchased.The biorb accessories are just as beautifully details and great quality.The only downside is the air bubbles cause a very heavy current, which is to strong for my betta… however, I used a chip clip to attach on the air hose and it slowed down the bubbles, giving my fish the perfect current to swim in.All in all.. this is a very lovely tank to have.

However, I had to make this remark about it. I think it’s very very nice and I think I’m going to enjoy it. It seems to be a well-made product. I like the idea that Amazon is also carrying the filter pad the cleaners I’d like to buy things from the same company when I buy them so I like the idea that I hope they’re not gonna drop the product. I think it’s very very nice. I mean for the money it’s it’s a pretty nice statement and the light is pretty cool smaller than what I thought it was but you know 8 gallons is 8 gallons, very nice so I’m it’s not new shed and if they give me an opportunity, I’ll give you an upgrade when I buy the fish eventually right now I’m just in between things and I don’t have the time of the patience but it’s very very very nice, but I’m not gonna give a five star rating cause I would be lying. I’m not using it as a fish tank just yet but I will. I will give it a rating. I think it’s beautiful so I mean I’m probably gonna give it a high rating I think it’s well-made. It’s at matter fact I know it’s well made. It’s in my living room. It’s in my office. I think it’s beautiful . :-)

It looks great and is enough space for a few fish to swim around in as long as you don't over-stuff the tank. Definitely if you can only get a small tank I would recommend this one above the others currently. The only Issues I personally had was that mine arrived with a few scratches on the top lid, but since I have a grey unit they don't show but it was disappointing to open a new box and get any kinda damage on what is more a luxury item that you do pay more for. The only other issue is the substrate they give you is not to to much and you need to remove the tiny pieces and make sure any ones that are sharp are taken out as to not hurt the fish you are keeping. Most of mine was roundish though and not jagged so with what I did get it was able to fill the bottom, though I will be covering it with flat stones just to keep my betta safe anyway. Minus that it is easy to set up and appears to be easy to clean as far as aquariums go (You will need to still do normal aquarium maintenance and add water when water level goes down as well as replace water to reduce nitrates as normal, though if you only have a few fish maybe every other week ten minutes of work should be enough if you have the right tools. I do enjoy mine and think it fits my tiny apartment well even with the scratches on the lid they don't show so I wont be asking for a return or anything but the tank and clear part itself is perfectly fine. Also if you do decide to get this tank keep in mind that it will take 2 days to add the fish following their instructions, but still fully cycling your tank is recommended for a new tank.Also I currently have my male betta in the tank, with two biorb plants and large biorb rocks on the bottom the current is perfect and he can swim around or float as he wants. He will dart in and out of the bubbles at times too. I do recommend a bubble guard though to block off access to the tube as a smaller fish could get stuck perhaps, best not to take chances with damaging a bettas fins.

I have uploaded several pictures and they still don't do this company or fish tank justice.1st. I am traveling to Costa Rica and they shipped it here. Arrived along with everything I purchased for it in 1 piece. Bravo, on the 1st attempt. Very, very impressed with that along.2nd. It works exactly and even better than it says it will but only if you follow the instructions. Mine is an Orb 4 gallon tank that clearly states the size of the rocks and ornaments that can go IN THE TANK for the filtration system to work properly. So I did the smart thing and bought the one that is sold separately by them for an Orb fish tank. Why stress out looking for a square to fit into a round tank?! 😒. There stuff is reasonably priced and I don't want to stress out my new fishes.3rd. The tank comes ready to plug and play, water treatment and healthy bacteria that you need to set up in two 24 hrs sections BEFORE you bring your new friends home. Take this into consideration when setting up your new tank. Don't use tap water and FOLLOW the very clear instructions provided.4. Don't try to put things that don't belong into a round aquarium IN IT. I have some reviews on here and facepalm. If your tank isn't working right don't blame THIS COMPANY for you not having followed the directions. They even provide you with a graph of how large or small the rocks have to be at the bottom if you choose to purchase more than the original ones provided so it doesn't mess up the filtration filter located on the bottom.5. Turn your air raider off when feeding the fishes. I feed the homies 2 a day, turn it off to let them eat for 1/2 hour. I also have 2 little snails 🐌 helping with clean up duty.Bottom line, I highly recommend go to their page. They have other models that aren't round, look for a design and price that suites your mood and budget. I will be purchasing 3 😁 more from them to get my Godkids out my room who now come meditate in front of my tank. 🧘‍♂️

I wanted to love this tank. The lights failed and it’s not even been two months. I called the service representative and was told to troubleshoot the light system which I did. There are still no lights and they want me to send the tank back. Where do I put my fish in the meantime? The only other solution is to buy a replacement lid for $$. Why?

I loved it but condo bldg would not allow aquariums in case of leaks - I returned it & can u believe Amazon charged me fo return - so the very next I will be sure to look elsewhere before I buy on line

The media could not be loaded. SECOND UPDATE: same thing happened to one of our Danios. This time the Danio was alive, and we had to empty the whole tank to get him out. He wasn’t in the box but instead out of it. The air pump was on for these fish, he wouldn’t have been able to swim through the tube against the current. I don’t know what’s happening. We really want to love this tank. We’ve now but the filter/foam piece in, used their rocks, and have the air pump on again. This is frustrating.UPDATE: we had the aquarium for about 1 week. While going to say goodnight to our fish we noticed him missing. The next morning I emptied all the water and took all the decor out only to find him under all the rocks and INSIDE the filter container. HOW?! I’m so upset. But for buying this tank, he likely would have still been alive. We don’t even understand how he got into the container. The only way in would have been the air tube. He still would have had to swim all the way down, and bypass the white stick in the middle of it. Such a disappointment, my four year old was in tears when we couldn’t find him. We’ve since cleaned it out and bought a few danios, but if we have a repeated mistake, the tank will go back.——I chose this specific aquarium for its “space” like design. To me, it resembled a rocket ship and my 4 year old has a space themed bedroom. It was the perfect addition and serves as an interactive “night light”.We’ve always owned bettas, most living on average 3 years. We’ve always used a 5 gallon bowl with no filter, heater, or air pump. We do complete bowl changes every 3-4 weeks. It works for us and our fish have always seemed happy.I was looking for something a little more interactive. This specific beta we’ve had for 1 year and adore. My intent was to use only the light and possibly the air pump depending on the noise level as it would be right beside my kiddo as he slept. We had no intent of using the filter due to the extra maintenance.(1) - I thought I had received a dud as the lights weren’t coming on when I had first set it up. At first I thought maybe I put the batteries into the remote wrong, I kept flicking the switch on and off, and nothing was happening. After about 30 minutes it was turning on. I have no idea why this was, but it’s now working perfectly.(2) - The amount of space you have to put your hand into is limited. It made arranging the decor a little tricky.(3) - I purchased the biOrb centre decoration that covers the filter/air tube. When looking they seems to range between $40.00 - $100.00 +(4) - Some described a warped look due to the acrylic bowl, I personally don’t see much of that. My fish and our decor appear normal size.(5) - Initially I had the air pump turned on and thought it really added something special to the aquarium, but I believe the current it was creating was to strong for our beta. I’ve since turned it off because I didn’t want to stress him out. The noise was a minimal “hum”.(6) we purchased it on sale at $129.00 and that seems fair for what you’re receiving. Initially I was looking at more expensive tanks and I feel like I really received a deal.Finally, if you’re a bowl fish owner like myself and are looking for something a little extra, this is a great option. My fish appears happy and my son has something beautiful to fall asleep to.

Okay so I've used this tank for a while now and it's beautiful to look at but I wish I would have got a different model.First issue is that it's not made to be used with a heater so no room for cords, so can't use this for a betta fish or anything else that needs warmer than room temp water.Didn't think that one out, them nor me, so after a couple modifications it can do it but definitely be aware.Second thing is the medium it comes with is garbage, don't use it, find where you can buy biogravel and use that. Then if you don't like the look of it top it with whatever larger decorative stone. The medium it comes with is sharp which is bad for fish but it also does a bad job at giving your tank a full cycle of bacteria and thus building nitrates which will harm your fish.I would also suggest getting plants don't use any plastic junk fake plants only silk but Remeber that silk plants won't clean your tank and will eventually get all dirty so real plants are much better.Third is the air pump, buy an air adjuster nob if you purchase this tank, it pumps out way way to much air and that's loud and hard on fish also it promotes bacteria / algae, once we put a air adjuster in it we really noticed a difference in cleaning and our fish behaviour.The filter is fine, just use different filter material in it don't buy theirs, use carbon filter matting on the bottom and then the white filter media on the top so two layers, toss out there filter or use it once then toss it. This will all slow your tank to thrive much Better and less tank cleanings and water changes will be needed. Otherwise your going to have alot of work on your hands even with just one fish.Finally the thing that's hard to notice about this tank until you actually see it is how small it is and the shape makes doing anything inside it a challenge, like cleaning the medium or moving plants or heck changing the filter!I think it's a really cool idea that needs to be improved on and I like the bio orb styles but I wish I would have got a different style and known all this stuff before hand, I will probably sell it and upgrade in a year.
