Parasyte Full Color Collection 1

Parasyte is a fantastic roller coaster ride of creepy. An alien race called parasites come to earth with one goal. Devour humanity. As they arrive, they get inside a human, eat the brain, and become the host, killing the human and allowing the parasite to control the body. After they get body, they track other humans, kill them, and eat them for dinner. One parasite however, fails to get into the brain of a young boy named Shinichi. It burrows itself into his arm and starts to move up. Shinichi takes his headphones and ties of his arm like a tourniquet not allowing the parasite to move. Now, the parasite has control of the arm, and must find a way to work with his human host and learn about himself, and his species.

Good book, good graphic, good color. Can’t wait to collect the whole series

One of my top 5 favorite series. This is one of the first series I always suggest to people when they are new to manga. And also one of the first I ever read. A story with elements of horror/sci-fi mixed with drama and dark comedy. It's an entertaining story through out and one that I go back and read fron time to time. The series is only 8 volumes long so it's not much money to collect compared to some longer running series. I also suggest checking out the 2 spin off anthology manga companions Neo Parasyte M and F.

I've only watched the anime for Parasyte, but reading the manga, colored or not, feels so different. Great quality and the colored art is just amazing regardless of how old the manga is.

My son hates to read but he read this and loved it! Can’t wait for the next one in August!

Amazing book don’t get me wrong. But sad packaging on Amazons part. Book came shipped all bent in a thin package.

Book was in perfect shape, strong cover, I love the binding that will spell Parasyte once complete. The color is just amazing to look at and read, it changes the manga completely and you see more detail. It does show the age of the drawing but so fantastic. I hope to see more like this and they cost the same as other hardcover that are black and white. A must have

Parasyte just gets everything right from the pacing and various life lessons it has teached me. It puts so many great insight about humanity and "what does it mean to be a human"? and "who really are the demons of the earth"?

Looks nice on the shelf, the art is great, the story is great, what more do you need?

The original Japanese version was created almost 30 years ago. Parasyte seems to come from the creator’s thinking that humanity must have judged something amiss. The creator might well be telling people that if we do not start fixing things, we might end up having to face something similar to a story described in Parasyte.
