Review: As the daughter of one of the Code Breakers in WW2, I thoroughly appreciated all the history that is presented in this book. My mother was stationed at SugarCamp in Dayton Ohio and told me many stories of her days helping the war effort. The book highlighted stories about a few intelligent, brave women who were the leaders in breaking the German and Japanese code while also giving an overview of the thousands who were also busy 24/7 aiding the effort. Not many know about these women and this book gives great insight to so many who sacrificed so much. This book is the originally published book. There is also an abridged version with easy reading. I read both versions and both are great. Review: À superb and informative book. Lots of names, dates and detail to absorb. But was easy enough to do so Thank you desertcart.co.uk for sorting out my 'mis order' so quickly and efficiently.

Fabulous book about the women who worked as code breakers during WWII. They worked long hours, had little in terms of social lives but they helped the GI’s who served overseas by writing letters to them. What I think was discouraging was the lack of assistance they received from the U.S. Government when the war ended, in terms of finding new jobs. Liz Mundy does a fantastic job of detailing these women in the book and bringing them to life. I learned quite a few things about WWII by reading the book. Well worth it!
