Worked like a charm
I do not know how I got power links off of my sram chains before this tool. This tool takes a job that makes you cus and fingers hurt and cuts down the effort level to none. It works so quick and easy and I highly recommend getting this tool if you change chains yourself or if you like to take them completely off to clean them. Works Works Works.

Cheap but got the job done
When putting a master link on, the amount of effort it took to get the link to set was just barely over the amount that made the plastic handle pop off the metal part.Got the job done, but might not be able to use it a second time. Time will tell. (Yes I could have just stomped on the crank, but not when my bike is all taken apart like it was at the time)

Don't waste time & effort, these are great!!
I've used needle nose and c-clip pliers for years with decent success. When I spent the money on a GOOD SRAM chain for me my new mountain bike I had zero success with my old methods.I had been wasting time and effort over something these beauties would have eliminated!!Quick, easy, and not expensive!!

Don't spend twice as much for something basic
I went with this product because I didn't feel that paying twice as much for a popular brand made sense for such a simple concept. I stand by my decision, these masterlink pliers have held up well and do exactly what they're supposed to. The smaller size pliers are great for stashing in a bike bag for storage without being in the way.

Great for the price
It works as it should. At home I used to use a chanellock to take off quick links, but this works so much better. At the shop I work at we have a park tool one. While the park tool one does feel like the build quality is better, this is definitely good enough for anyone at home.

Works as designed, good price
Used on 3 different chains (a 7-speed sram, a 9-speed Shimano with quick link, and 10-speed kmc). A real time saver, especially in the case of a 10-speed. Good price, too.ETA: mine's not compact, doesn't have the slot for master link - looks like they have lumped all reviews together.

Works perfectly.
Its very easy to take the master link on and off with it. I love it. The tire levers snap on and off. You can hear a clicking sound when taking the levers on or off.

Nice compact tool
This is nicely made. It’s size makes it easy to stow.I like it a lot, and I’ll likely have it around as long as I can still ride.

Easy-to-use timesaver
It took me ages trying to get a SRAM PowerLink open using ordinary needle-nose pliers as the combination of lubricant and straight jaws meant any pressure on the pins just pushed the link out of the jaws, but perseverance finally paid off.Not wanting to go through that again, I bought these, as the curved jaws prevent the link from sliding away and curved recesses on the outside allow you to close the link again by pulling the handles apart, removing the necessity of stamping on the pedals to fasten the chain. Tried and tested on 9 speed SRAM PowerLinks, and 9 and 10 speed KMC MissingLinks.Incidentally, it has comfortable sprung non-slip rubber handles and weighs 135g.

great little pliers - do the job
Not a great deal to say. they are chain pliers. You could probably do the job without them but pinching and slipping hurting my hands when working with bike chains i invested in these. A great tool for the price allowing you to easily break and attach quick link style chain connectors. If your chain is a bit old and gunked up these are definitely helpful in getting the old link off. I cant really see what more expensive tools could do that these don't.

Solid. Much better value than individual open and close pliers.
Sturdy piece of kit and has worked faultlessly on the KMC/SRAM chains on both my mountain bike and road bike. You would be insane to buy a separate set of pliers for opening and closing the links, get this instead.

The product is fine and it arrived very quickly
The product is fine and it arrived very quickly. but please note it cannot be used to close links. Despite the description implying otherwise it can only be used to *install* the links, it cannot be used to remove them.

Does the job perfectly. Why pay more?
Before purchasing this I noticed the same type of product by different manufacturers for twice and sometimes three times the price of this one. Why bother? This Bikehand version does the job just as well.
