OWW SHARP
I used some 240 sand paper to get rid of the very sharp bottom. It wasn’t sharp enough to draw blood but it definitely hurt. It’s much easier to use now, for $22 empty merica tokens it’s something that should be a standard feature. The lil plastic box it’s in is, to put it nicely, poop. The super thin plastic hinge will only last a few uses. I put 2 layers of packing tape on it to help. For $22 id like to have seen a that rounded bottom on the brass sparker and a little bit better box, at least in the hinge area. The tinder plugs do burn for about 1 minute. With another brand that burns around 3-4 minutes this will be a great kit for lighting my flat pack grill. Other then that it’s a cool little kit that keeps the tinder plugs and sparker together and contained in a smaller package. Thanks.

Good for a 3 set kit
My father, a big fan of old fashioned camping out in the backwoods, always told me "Have at least 3 ways of starting a fire" and this is a good thing to have in that kind of kit, it sparks well and the sparks that come off are hot enough to light a standard cotton ball if you just fluff it a little..no alcohol, petroleum jelly, or anything needed so I consider that a pretty good way of testing a fire starter like this one. I have one of these, an old fashioned flint and steel (actual flint and steel) and a ferro road along with a magnesium block just to be on the safe side in my little fire starting kit. Just make sure to remember it is pretty much a spark wheel like a Zippo lighter so be sure to clean it with a wire brush like you would that every so often to keep it sparking well.

Four Seasons Survival Brass Spark Lite
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a one hand backup fire starter. Striker is solid. Being able to change flint is a plus. Nice small compact kit and works exactly as it should. Only issue is the length of the striker. Not a quality issue, but it is quite difficult to hold the striker when using. I found if I slide a ball point pin cap over the end it gives me better control of the striker. Just something to be aware of.

I totally recommend this !
Now this was way smaller than I had thought. I was expecting a big pack or something, but this is really small and easy to use. I will definitely be getting several more of these when I can. Works excellent. I would definitely recommend this along with matches, a magnifying glass, for camping and survival. It was very easy to start a fire, a lot easier than most of the strikers. Used two of the included cloths, Each only took 1 strike to lite.Edit Be careful not to lite the cloth in your hand. I decided since it is always hot around here, I would lite the charcoal in gril with this since it would be quite a while for me to test this. I stressed one end of it, and held the end by my finger tips. I lite the cloth, and it looked nice, then three seconds later, the entire cloth and my fingers are on fire.

The Original and Best
The brass Spark-Lite is part-firestarter and part-heirloom piece. There is some heft to it, and the flints are replaceable by the user (package includes a spare and a small wrench). These were initially designed for survival kits around the time of the Vietnam War, and the fact that they're still being made today is a testament to their quality and longevity. There are numerous knock-offs floating around out there, most of which are inferior or just plain junk. Go for the original! While the Spark-Lite doesn't throw a massive molten blob of sparks like a ferro rod, but instead can be operated one-handed and allows you to get in real close to the tinder. If you're into the outdoors, bushcraft, camping, hiking, survival, etc. or just want to own a little piece of history -- this should be in your kit.

Great item
I have used this brass spark lite quite a bit. The sparker lights the tinder quick tabs easily as long as you fluff one of the ends up first. I like that the flint is easily replaceable, but needing the supplied tool to do so is annoying. I just see the tiny Allen wrench being easy to lose in the field. The sparker fits standard zippo flints even though they are shorter than the ones it comes with. The kit contains eight tinder quicks, but I was able to fit eighteen in mine with a bit of compression. The plastic box containing the tabs and sparker take up very little space. There are many ways to start a fire, but as a backup method, this is fantastic.

Solid Little Kit
For the size, it's great. Already have and love Tinder Quiks as I have used them for several fires, and the spark wheel does a pretty decent job once you fluff a TQ out. I keep mine in my waterproof fire kit in my car

Great build quality, great design.
This firestarter is expensive before being shipped from america, but I can't help but love the build quality and design. Fair sized box, easy to use tinder tabs, with a solid brass firestarter that slots in perfectly. Zippo sized flint wheel with a flint twice the size than average, fixed with an included mini allen key (not a knurled cheese head screw like the ust uses). The grub screw used tightens right into the base of the firestarter, flat. To be honest its not as comfortable in the hand as the exotac nanospark, but it was designed to fit snugly in its emergency kit box, and a more comfortable profile would get in the way of that. Can't wait to use it in the field.

Excellent but expensive
Nice product. I like that it is longer than other spark wheels that are in the market. However the price of this product is very expensive , especially when other brass spark wheels are less than $6. That’s like 1 9th the cost of this spark wheel package. You do get some tinder but with what you save with UST spark wheel, you can buy extra spark wheels and a lot of tinder
