I don’t have anything negative to say about this particular product because it was referred to me from my older sister and she told me that she’s been using it for years now for her osteoarthritis in her shoulders. When I developed the same thing I ordered right away and after three weeks I noticed that my shoulders were started to hurt less and less and I could actually sleep more and more! I’m not saying that all my pain is completely gone but it’s truly a big difference in what I’ve been through before I started using it. Update: It’s been Three months now and my pain is almost completely gone in my right shoulder! I tried to stop taking these capsules and the pain came back so I’m reordering!! There’s no taste to them, The effectiveness is genuine to me because I used myself as the test monkey! I won’t do that anymore. You will see the health benefits by using this product yourself if you choose to purchase it.

I am an avid health researcher and spent a considerable amount of time scouring the internet searching for the 3:6 ratio and amounts of omega-3s deemed to be biologically optimal for people eating the standard American diet (SAD) and living in our toxic industrialized nation. My sources are scientific journal articles I read on PubMed. This Solgar formulation fits the bill.You need rather high amounts of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), and this formula derives them from fish sources. A study on the bio-equivalence of DHA from different algal oils found that, unlike fish-sourced oils, the bioavailability of DHA from vegetarian-sourced (algal) oils has not been formally assessed. This formulation has omega-3 EFAs from sardines, mackerel, and anchovies.The dosages of EPA and DHA found in this Solgar supplement are higher than any other commercially-sold supplement I have evaluated (approximately 20). To be maximally effective, I take two a day. The effects? On the days I take them regularly, my mood is euthymic; my sleep cycles are regulated and I don't wake up in the middle of the night; my knee capsular joint pain is gone; and I can deal with stress effectively without having a meltdown. On the days I do not take them, the opposite occurs, and my moodiness comes back. If I fail to take them for weeks, which is when I will also forget to take my vitamin D, depression sets in. Not kidding, I've tried dozens of brands over the years. This one has the highest potency, and I can tell. My hair and nails are growing faster than ever, which is a good sign on Omega-3 potency. Plus, Consumer Labs recommends it.I like to freeze my Omega-3 softgels to help with the fishy-burps. Unfortunately, these don't freeze easily, or maybe not at all - freezer is set to -8* F. So I get fish burps with this product, hence 4-stars. Other brands, like Life Extension, did not do this to me, but I had to take 4 of those pills a day and they still don't match what 2 of these contain.If you can stand some fish burps, then I recommend this one. I think it is one of the best values out there.

I like Solgar in general. I used to take the regular omega 3 (not triple strength) and might just go back to it because it seemed to have a better effect on my immune system for some reason? But still happy with this.

People writting about these soft gels being large are correct. But they are not that large. If someone has a problem swallowing them they have other issues. Solgar makes these exact capsules in multiple strengths...if you want little capsules buy the lowest strength and take three! These are one 950MG capsule and they are sized correctly for 950MG. If you want to take one capsule these are for you. Solgar is about the best and most trusted brand for supplements. Quality glass bottle as well. Not the cheapest but probably the best out there.
