Let me start off by stating that anyone who thinks they are going to get a military-grade quality LED flashlight for less than $60-75 is fooling themselves. All of these that sell for $13-25 are knock-offs of the originals. All you can hope for is a quality reproduction made with minimal corners being cut. For a true durability test, you need to use it daily for at least 6 months.Like most everyone else has reported, this flashlight is very bright and easy to use. Got it for my daughter for parking lot at college at night. She uses it primarily to find the car and to check it out, and the area, before she is actually getting into the car. She also keeps it in her purse for whatever. Works great. Not sure about battery life, but only charged it once so far, and seems to have very good staying power. She especially likes the wrist strap.I have friend who bought the same light on my recommendation. It arrived and he brought it over. I immediately noticed there was a grinding / sandpaper noise when screwing / unscrewing the cap; the threads were rough edged, with a spur on the barrel; and the flashlight itself had some sharp edges on the housing ribs. My guess is it was a "real counterfeit" unit made with little or no quality control. He returned it. I know these are made by multiple manufacturers in the same design, and his came in a box exactly like mine did, although I noticed his box wasn't formed / folded precisely, compared to mine.This probably is the reason for the differences in the comments, and I am guessing the situation repeats itself with all other branded flashlights that cost under $60. I recommend you purchase the model you like with Amazon Prime, and if it looks funny at all, return it immediately and purchase another. After two duds, switch to another brand. With Amazon's return policy it will only cost you time.

Originally, I gave this product a 3 star rating and said it was "a good flashlight for the price." I was satisfied, though not thoroughly impressed... That was not good enough for the company! Their excellent customer service department got a hold of me right away and asked if I'd be willing to take a look at second light, as the first one may have been a bit faulty. I said I'd be happy to, and a few days later it arrived in the mail - and let me tell you, it is phenomenal! It is significantly brighter than the first one I received, and outshines nearly every other light I've ever seen! This isn't just a "good flashlight for the price" - it's an exquisite flashlight! I do a lot of hunting and fishing, and have recently been gigging frogs one or two nights a week. This light freezes them in their place. I've accidentally submerged the light, and it keeps on shining. It is shockingly bright, and durable. The included rechargeable battery has a very long life, and charges pretty quickly.5 Stars for the Flashlight,6 Stars for the customer service!

The only reason to drop one star is that you have to toggle through all 5 modes (high, medium, low, strobe and SOS) with the rear mounted switch to get whichever mode you want. It does not revert to the last mode you were in (e.g., high). The rest they got really right.I have no means of measuring light output other than my eyes, but this thing is BRIGHT. Focus and zoom are smooth and tight. It's interesting to note that at wide field the projection is circular, while at the narrow setting it is square.The feel is substantial, like there's $12 worth of aluminum alloy in there. The black anodizing is flawless, and the logo is discrete; the overall fit and finish is superb. The charger... not so much, but it works on the included generic 2200 mAH battery as well as the two 3000 mAH EBLs I bought as spares. An LED on the wall wart changes from red to green when the process is complete.BTW: Make those EBLs the primaries, as they not only have higher energy densities and low shelf drain, but they are rated for 1200 recharge cycles and have over-charge protection circuitry built in.

Hands down one of the handiest flashlights I've ever had! Comes with the rechargeable battery OR you can use regular batteries. We have used both and they both seem to last quite some time. It definitely does not kill the batteries fast and it is a super bright light! We have an acre yard and I can shine it all the way to the back and see well. And it fits in your pockets!! We had been using one of those huge lights that weigh about 10 pounds and use those massive block batteries. I think I'll be purchasing another of these. Size, weight, price, and brightness are absolutely awesome!

I'm not inclined to review a product yet I feel this strongly about this flashlight. You can not beat this especially for the price. Its brights, very bright. And you can even find it in the dark b/c the on/ off switch is a bright glow in the dark green. Its lightweight, yet with a sturdy feel in your hands. You can easily find the on /off switch ( a prob with some flashlights). The zoom in zoom out feature is awesome. It has everything covered. And you have the option, to use batteries or not b/c it comes with a rechargeable battery that you don't have to use if you don't want to. Another cool feature is if you place it face down on a table in the dark with it powered on, it emits a light. Very cool. I love this and I am going to buy another one.
