Collins Primary Thesaurus: Learn With Words (Collins Primary Dictionaries)

The book is beautiful but I was really disappointed by the content actually. My son is really into creative writing, he's 9. None of the words that he looked for were in there, e.g. haunted, awesome, etc. There are some good words in there but having to order an additional thesaurus to get what he needs. It's great for a child who is exploring new words but not so good for children who want to expand on a growing vocabulary.

Brilliant!. I have an eleven year old who has just completed his 11+ and this thesaurus is perfect for increasing his vocab.

Our grandson, aged 6, asked for a dictionary as he’d used one at school and enjoyed it. This thesaurus came with it in a set and he enjoys reading this too. It’s easy-to-understand for all ages, including me!

I brought this for my almost 8 year old daughter for help as suggested by her teacher. This is age appropriate for her, lay out is easy to use and will be suitable for the next few years. I’m hoping it aids to widen her vocabulary.

We bought this help our 6 year old to think about different words and with his writing skills during lockdown. He loved the idea of looking up words and finding alternatives. Although some words in here are a little to advanced for him right now. I think this book is for older children so I would definitely recommend for an 8+. The book is colourful and has many alternatives for differing contexts also.
