Good production, beware the air direction arrow on the filter
I've been using filters from the company for years. This is the first time I've gotten one with activated charcoal. I'm not writing to comment on the effectiveness. It seem to help with smells, but doesn't get them entirely. I'm writing to caution people about the air flow direction arrow on the filter.Like the other filters I've had, this has a wire types mesh on one side. That goes "down wind" so-to-speak, to help hold the filter in place against the furnace or air conditioning blowers. So the arrow for air flow direction points in the direction of the side with the wire mesh.When I got the filter with activated charcoal, it was layered as follows. One side had the charcoal, the side had the wire mesh, and the main filter was between them. However, instead of pointing towards the mesh, in this case, the arrow pointed towards the charcoal.This threw me at first. Because if the charcoal isn't supported, what's to keep it from flaking of and running through your air ducts? But I realized that the issue was just a misprint on the filter box, so I followed what the other filters had suggested and placed the mesh side downstream of the air flow.So the air hits the charcoal first, then the filter (which helps keep the charcoal intact), then the mesh (which helps hold the filter in place.)Bottom line? Not a difficult fix, but people should be warned that some of the airflow filters appear to have the wrong directional arrow.

Helps with that first burst of a/c doesn't smell like musty basement.Just got them. We'll see how they perform first time with this product.

Do a lot of cooking that smells? This is the one you need.
Perfect for the south asian families that cook a lot of delicious smelly foods. Stove exhausts and air purifiers did nothing until we started using these filters for our HVAC. The fan would have to run for the entire day to get rid of the smell but does the job.

only wish if they could be cheaper
have been buying these filters for years - a must to the furnace system. they do clean the air and block a lot of dust and fabric. whenever I change it I could see how dirty it gets over time. Only wish if I could buy them at a lower price LOL!

Well built filter > good quality > NO dust or pollen
Just starting using the first filter in the pack > less dust for sure > < no pollen > quality of the physical filter is far better than we normally use. Will update in a month or so if we have issues > but so far great.
