Q: What size should I order for a size 10 who wants to wear layers underneath?

Ii ordered a US size M. I am normally a 12/14 in a jacket. I find it very small fitting & my advice would be to get a large if you want to layer up. Lovely jacket but wish I'd gone bigger

Q: how good does the hood cover?

It fits very snug & I ont think it would blow down. I've not actually used it yet but the front zip comes up to under the chin. The hood has velcro to fasten it together across the neck. These two ends tuck into an opening either side of the collar when hood not in use. It's also detachable. My only advice is to get a size larger than you normally would as it a snug fit

I'm a size 18-20. I bought XL but is does fit snugly.
