Aztec: 70 designs to help you de-stress (Coloring for Mindfulness) Paperback – August 4, 2015

The media could not be loaded.  This is a beautiful book and will appeal to those who like small, intricate patterns. The majority of the book is graphic patterns, although there are a few masks. If you are familiar with the Vive Le Color series, this is very similar, albeit on a slightly larger scale. Slightly. The paper weight is sturdy, although the designs are double sided. Outlines are light grey rather than dark black -- a positive or a negative depending on how much you like strong outlines. Alcohol based markers will bleed through, except maybe Staedler .03 fine tips. Watercolor markers, if applied lightly, or very sharp colored pencils are your best bet if you'd like to use both sides of the page. Pages are easily detachable. The book itself includes a thick cardboard backing if you'd like to use that as your coloring surface.I'm enjoying this book. However, I can see it will be one I go to here and there rather than regularly, due to the amount of intricacy and fine details on most of the pages. Although I don't have "Bollywood", by the same publisher, I believe the reviews of it are probably similar to what you'll find with Aztec. If you like intricate patterns, can deal with very small spaces, and have the right materials, you will enjoy this book. If you prefer shading and larger open space, Aztec probably won't be enjoyable to you.I've included a video; sorry for the potato quality. My first!
