I wish that I had just spent a little more money and gone with this product to begin with the vinyl covers are thicker and you can cut them to size. The other product I went with was flimsy, and any cat could easily scratch through it and ruin your furniture. The adhesive is excellent and can be removed. If it doesn’t go on smoothly and it also comes with a squeegee that you can smooth it out with. The other product was basically a piece of junk. It was literally as thin as a piece of paper and impossible to peel away the backing. I threw all two pieces away because they would not peel off. When you tried to peel off, it wouldn’t come off and ripped the entire thing. I hope people take stock in this review and don’t go for the cheaper stuff because that’s exactly what you get is trash. I highly recommend this company though I do wish a few more sheets came for the price. Thank you all for saving my furniture at your company and I will buy some more of this to put on some other furniture now because it looks great and is basically impossible to see.

Listen- this isn’t an aesthetic fix. depending on the layout of your furniture, it may not even be noticeable but it also may be obvious. We used this on a fabric couch, one that has a lot of ribbing, that my cat was starting to tear up. This stuff works great. The sheets are easy to cut, surprisingly thick and sturdy, and the adhesion is very strong. Because you can cut the sheets, it’s also easy to use if you have a couch like ours that has some more intricate folds/designs. I would highly recommend this for cat owners with fabric couches or furniture that needs some extra barriers. So far, there is no damage to the couch when we remove the plastic but if you have leather or vinyl couches or suede or velvet furniture- I would highly recommend reading the other reviews. The adhesion is very strong as I mentioned so I would be very cautious to use it on any fabric that isn’t just regular old couch fabric.

As long as my kitty doesn't discover new items he decides to randomly start scratching up, I will probably never need to buy more of these. On my brown fabric couch bottom corners, this is just perfect. Super easy to put on, and they REALLY stick. I can understand some people's concern about possibly being so sticky that it could peel pieces of leather furniture off ( if removing it for some reason or trying to reposition it) but for my soft fabric, it is not an issue. I did move some pieces of these sticky shields around a couple times while setting them where I wanted them on the fabric, and could certainly see that it is SO sticky, it pulls some thin layer of fuzzy fibers up with it, but not to the point of any real damage. My kitty sniffed the new shields and walked right away. Nice invention. From some angles in the room, it is a visible thick plastic , like clear packing tape on the couch bottom/corners. From other angles and lighting, it is pretty 'invisible', So maybe not the prettiest solution ever, but beats covering my couch with blankets 24/7, etc, and I would definitely recommend. Hope to not have to cover anything else, but these are definitely not going anywhere. Very sturdy on their own, with no need for tacks or anything else ugly or inconvenient.

I really like that they do work, the cats won't pick at the area they are on, but I had one sheet that was slightly crooked and peeled it off to reposition it and about an hour later it fell off on it's own because it would not restick. They are thicker than I thought which is good and not as reflective as I was expecting so they are not overtly noticeable when they are on your furniture. If you are in need of something to stop the cats from scratching this is a good product, but I would recommend getting more sheets than you need because you can't use them more than once.

Around the 5th or 6th month, this product turns brown and starts peeling off leather. It leaves a film when you take off that is difficult to remove.

This is an excellent product for cat scratchers.

I have 4 cats (all with claws) and noticed that the tops of our leather kitchen chairs were starting to get some small pinholes in it. We put the Protector on all the chairs. You must be careful when you are placing it on the leather as it sticks immediately and you have to be careful pulling it off to correct it if it went on wrong. We did 6 chairs and it did not take very long to do. I would suggest if you are doing the tops, like us, that when you pull it over and down on the other side, to cut it in the center, about half way, so it is easier to pull over and down and it won't bulge up.So far so good. Have not seen any of my cats trying to scratch the tops of the chairs.

My cays haven't even tried to scratch the sofa since they noticed it was shiny. Easy to use, didn't need to cut to size as they were the perfect size already. Stuck well.

Die Folie ist schnell angekommen, es war sogar eine Schere dabei. Das Zuschneiden ging gut, nur dass sie so stark gerollt war hat das ein wenig erschwert. Man kann sie leicht anbringen und sie hält an Sofa und Bett sehr gut. Man kann sie auch nochmal verschieben, sie hält auch dann.Zur Langlebigkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen, aber man Kater kratzt an diesen Stellen nicht mehr.
