I have to give this 5 stars, even if installation was not easy at all. It was mostly because I had to reinforce the attic joist I needed to cut out of the way for the duct before I could even begin. You’ll definitely need some help too, because this thing is heavy. If you don’t have two very strong people to lift and hold it while you (the 3rd person) puts the screws in, you might need to use some creative problem solving to get it up in place. We had to place a ladder on one side of the island and put one end of an 8 ft long 2x4 on the ladder, with the range hood on top of the 2x4, and have one person lift the other end of the 2x4 and hold it in place while the other person threaded the screws in. Otherwise, just the 2 of us could not do it. In the end 5 stars because it’s simply gorgeous when completed, plus when I noticed the metal was bent on the lower chimney, and reached out to the seller, the only thing they wanted to know was my address, so they could send me a replacement asap, major thumbs up!

Update: I have been in communication with the seller and o have to say, “Wow!” They got back to me immediately and replaced the unit within a week. I’m extremely happy with the unit and very impressed with their customer service. I highly recommend this company and product. I purchased this item on Black Friday sale. The package arrived today and the product was damaged with a large dent in the corner. I really would like to have this vent, we turned it on and it was quiet and appeared to work well. My only option was to return it. I would really like an exchange. To purchase this item now is $50 more than when I purchased it.

Great looking hood. But the "wave hand" operation is spotty at best, some times it works sometimes it doesn't.

Its a beautiful hood. Our installer could not get a hold of customer service when he had questions about install. This model is pretty noisy on level 1 with a lot of rattling, the higher speeds do not rattle. The non touch features are nice. It's really tricky to figure out how to set the clock. Honestly I wish there wasn't a time setting on it.

Outstanding hood vent. easy to install. I have had it for 8 months. I use it every day, multiple times a day. i installed mine by myself. even better if you have 2 people.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this deserves one. Installation is not easy, but that might be expected. No, it is a truly dumb step in manufacturing that will leave unsighly bits of protective blue plastic stuck in the assembly. When this product is made, earch stainless part is first dipped in plastic to protect the metal. AFTER being coated, the parts are riveted togather. The blue plastic is very weak, but adheres strongly to the stainless, so removing it from even the large peices is hard work. But in every riveted seam or fasterner, there is a little bit of blue plastic that will remain. This is visible, and there is nothing you can do to remove it. The plastic film is too weak to be scrapped out with a knife tip or pick. I even tried a propane torch to melt it (discoloring part of the stainless), and the plastic just melted and flowwed deeper into the seam. It is stupiid manufacturing, not poor quality materials that is the problem.

Absolutely love the way that it came out. Easy to install. But 2 people would be better than 1. I installed it on my own just took me a little longer. The instructions could use a little more explaining. Had to figure some of it out on my own. Looks great in our kitchen. Very fancy looking. It’s a little noisy but works great.

Update: I had a question about the install and the sellers communication was above and beyond. I would definitely use this seller again! Removal of the protective plastic is EASY! Read on… The enclosed instructions are very generic since they cover 3 or 4 different mounting styles. That being said installation is pretty simple and straight forward. 1) mount the top plate to the ceiling (I ran some 2x4’s in the attic on top of the drywall and screwed into those instead of using the drywall anchors). 2) Cut your hole for the vent hose. 3) assemble the anti-backdraft pieces and install the vent hose onto the range hood. (I used #4 screws to hold it in place and aluminum HVAC tape to support the first 4-5 inches of hose in an extended position) - my concern is that the hose may collapse (contract) and the anti-backdraft pieces not open completely. 4) assemble the angle supports to the length you want and attach them to range hood. 5) use a utility knife to cut the protective plastic down the seams of the cover pieces. Remove the blue protective plastic. 6) slide the cover box pieces together and down over the angle supports. 7) lift the hood (2 people required) into place and screw the angle supports to the ceiling bracket. 8) raise the inner cover box piece to the ceiling and install the self tapping screws. 9) remove the 4 screws holding the glass. Lift the glass to allow easy removal of the protective plastic film on the range hood.

Right away I noticed how much smoke and cooking odors disappear quickly — the 700 CFM fan is definitely powerful enough for everyday cooking, frying, or even heavier smoke situations. The 3‑speed settings give just the right amount of airflow without being too noisy, which I appreciate when I’m cooking and chatting with family. The gesture and touch controls are super cool and actually work well — waving to turn on lights or change fan speeds feels futuristic and convenient (especially when my hands are messy!). The 4 LED lights brighten up the entire island area perfectly — way better lighting than my old hood had. I also like that it’s convertible (ductless or ducted), so I didn’t have to worry about awkward venting in my setup, and the stainless steel baffle filters are easy to remove and clean. The timer setting is a nice little bonus too — I can set it and forget it after I finish cooking.

This range is working really well so far. We've had it installed for a few weeks now. The fans/vents work great and are not too loud on full with good suction power that seems stronger than 700cfm. The range is well made with strong feeling metal and all the features/functions work well. The touch panel is responsive and the gesture controls work well also. Installation was straight forward and we ran in to no problems while installing it. The Led lights are good and bright as well. So far we're liking it, it looks good and it works really well. I think the price is very fair.
