These are solid wooden castanets that are made well and a great size for toddlers to hold and use. I include on in every toddler Operation Christmas Child shoebox that I donate. They have a good sound and easily pack into an OCC shoebox to offer the receiving child a little musical instrument. I will buy them again.

Preschool kids love playing with these.

They are thick but after about a week the rubber band or whatever cheap way they the attach the 2 sides, it fails and the toy no longer makes noise. I do not recommend this product at all.
