Very stable
I used this for the first time last night to turn a 13 inch wood bowl. It is very stable and runs true. I have a midi lathe and need to turn this size bowl outboard where I cannot use the tailstock. This faceplate held the bowl blank securely. I am very pleased with this purchase !!!

Impressive, really flat and square to spindle and solid
Used to attach a 14" X 1" thick plywood sanding disc to a Jet 14-42 lathe. The face plate is solidly built, but really impressed me was the 0.0005" run out on the face. Most face plates I've gotten were about 0.004 but this one was exceptionally flat and square. I've ordered another and hope it's as good. The picture was slightly different from the one I received as the inner 4 holes were offset by 45 Deg to the outer ring, but I really liked that better.Received my second and was just as good as the first, 0.0005" run out. Great faceplate.

"American" machine quality!
It took some time, on the internet, to read through all the other, cheaper, models available. Some are made of plastic or other polymer. This one is heavy steel and exactly what I wanted and trust for my renewed lathe turning hobby!

I bought this mostly because of the great price on Amazon
Although I am not familiar with this mfg. I bought this mostly because of the great price on Amazon. I now have two of them, and they are really well made, well balanced faceplates, I use PSA sanding discs on mine and they do a great job of squaring things up when needed. I have other way more expensive faceplates, but I use these the most.

Worked perfectly for my project
My daughter asked me to make her a multi-level Macaron cookie tree. This item provided the rotary support needed to turn an 8" diam x 16"long blank down to the finished size quite well.

Does not have locking set screw for use on reversing lathe
This face plate is advertised as having a locking set screw for use on reversing lathes. Just opened the box and it does not have any locking set screws for use on a reversing lathe. Disappointed, this was main reason for ordering this particular face plate.
