It’s not lavender. This company sells fake lavender made in China. I tried taking a bath with this stuff and none of the flowers changed shape or blossomed and oddly the flowers looked all the same. And it didn’t break apart easily in my hand after it was soaked in hot water like real flower buds do. Don’t buy from this company.

Can it be used for cooking?

I've used this product for a few years to make lavender simple syrup. I'm still alive! BUT... I'm not sure I'd do it again. This product listing used to say this is culinary grade lavender, but I can only see that claim now on the 5oz packaging photo. I never noticed anything off about it when using it for syrup aside from its intense purple coloring. Use at your own risk, I'd say.

Great for making teas

This dry lavender flower has a really strong, floral flavor—definitely use it sparingly in your tea or it can easily take over. If you add too much, it can make you feel sleepy, which is perfect for winding down. Great quality and very fragrant.

Wonderful Fragrance!

I bought this to use as a potpourri sachet. The delivery was fast and packaged well. When I opened the bag, it had a beautiful fragrance. It was perfect for what I intended to use it for and easy to fill my sachets. I've been experimenting with different sellers to see what kind of quality is out there and boy have I been disappointed quite a bit.Not this time!The color is amazing, such a bright, beautiful purple!The aroma is strong and sweet, absolutely 💯!The texture is soft but not fragile.Overall excellent quality! Beautiful color, scent and taste

I bought the first bag of this lavender about a year ago, to make simple syrup for my tea (especially amazing with Earl Gray!) and it was delicious. When I ran out, I bought an organic option, which I generally try to do, especially for something I’m going to eat. The organic one is pictured in the top of the second photo. You can see how much more muted the color is, which I don’t really care about since I’m just steeping it, but the flavor of the organic wasn’t as good either, it almost tasted dusty, if that makes sense. So back to buy a second bag of the Lavande sur Terre and will stick with it in the future. Great value too, 5 oz package more than fills a large mason jar!
