Q: Is this safe for porous surfaces? (Carpet, furniture, bedding, etc?) Does it need to be wiped off or best to air dry?

It is corrosive. I have used it on fabric, porous grout, etc.. and it did not eat anything up. I usually spray down everything and go back and wipe it. Toilets not necessarily, though you can air dry if not saturated.
