Starting School (Picture Puffins) by Ahlberg, Janet, Ahlberg, Allan (2013) Paperback

We ADORE this book! It’s so lovely and moves not just through the first day, but the whole first year. It is a British book, so some of the words are different than what we use in America, but what I love most is that the class is very multicultural. The names and students are diverse and it really highlights the similarities and differences in the class. It’s lovely and all 5 of my kids have enjoyed it over the years. I wish it was easier to find in publication, as I’d gift it to teachers and kids starting school alike!
