Roget's International Thesaurus, 8th Edition

The physical properties of the Thesaurus, viz. its size, binding, paper quality, print quality and font size etc. are so good that provide the reader excellent readability without any headache. This quality at this price is always happily acceptable. If I comment on its written matter, the data is so well organized that you can find the desired words or phrases easily as the data has been written category wise. If you want to be an English Writer, you must purchase it. It will be more helpful than any other thesaurus or dictionary. You don't need to learn it all as it is a very thick book having around half million of words. It will be better if you use it as a reference book only. Whenever require, just find the desired word and learn that at the same time, your vocabulary will be increased gradually with more effective words. After purchasing it, first of all spend sometime for reading thoroughly the Prefaces and Synopsis of Categories so that you can get the general idea how it is going to be helpful for you more effectively.

Arrived minty fresh and have had limited time to use it. Looks like a long time companion though.

only buy when you have gone through dictionary once.for advance learners ,not for competitive exams

The book is excellent but I recieved a defective one. Some pages are missing and some pages are repeated again. So check all the pages roughly for the correct order of page numbers after you receive it.

yet to go through the content, but paper quality is pathetic, not at all worthy, books like these are suppose to be in book shelves for long time, this one would not last long.

Got a brand new item. A comprehensive thesaurus book. Very nice. A big book of wide knowledge in vocabulary.

Bought 30 years ago. Bought this one. LOVE THEM. This is such a great reference!

Excellent layout, very useful for homing in on appropriate words and phrases. The paper quality was not up to the standard I am used to, and was a disappointment.
