What you are looking at is a fantastic training dummy with a completely worthless piece of rope attached. I bought both the large and x-large version of this training dummy. I found the large didn't fly quite as well as the x-large, but they are both very durable, and they both float with ease. My dog chewed on this thing like crazy when we first got it, and all it does is poke holes now and again, it still works just fine. As I mentioned before, the rope is total junk and doesn't stay tied. Get you own rope, or go without and it works just fine.

We used to have a toy that looked very similar to this, but a hard plastic. It was great because we had one dog that liked to play fetch, and another that liked to chew toys until they are destroyed. The previous toy we had was nice because it was virtually impossible for our "chewer" to destroy the toy, and we could play fetch in the water with both of the dogs with no problem. When the toy got lost (left behind), I came across this online as a replacement. Although it wasn't plastic, I was mislead by the "tough and sturdy" description. When I bought this toy months ago, there was no reviews or anything else about the material. They have since put that the toy is made out of foam on the description which is helpful.It still serves it purpose and with proper supervision, and the toy has yet to be chewed apart. Just would have liked to have known that prior.

A woman was using couple of these all summer so finally got my pup one! She really loves fetching n just carrying it around in her mouth! She hasn’t destroyed any part but I only use for fetching or to carry. Floats and have tossed in water which she(pup) retrieves but her older Lab bud won’t. This is 100% just puppy’s toy. Till it warms up not tossing until positive she’ll fetch in case I must go in. Think she would get it but just in case stays home during walks at lake!

This has been a great pool toy for my 85lb GSD/lab/Aussie mix. He’s an unrelenting chewer and loves tug of war. The body of this has held up quite well after a solid year aggressive pool play. The rope didn’t fare as well, but no great loss as far as my dog is concerned.

Our dog chomps a stick in half w/out blinking. He has an incredible bite and will destroy a tennis ball in less than 5 min. This is going on it's 3rd month now and only has bite marks in it. It gets used pretty consistently throughout the day and never leaves his side. By far this is the BEST fetch toy I have ever seen and at a very good price. I've already purchased another one as a spare but not sure when we'll ever need it!

Very light weight and easy to throw far. My lab loves to fetch it. However, DON'T let your dog chew on it. Mine is already ruined. She chewed the top right off so I no longer have the rope! I guess I expected it to be more durable.

Our German Shepherd loves her new water toy. It's floats nice and easy for her to grip onto the toy. It's not easy for her to tear up. She does have teeth marks in it but has not ripped in anyways shape or form. Can't wait for warmer weather for a boat ride to the lake and have her swim with the he kids and where them all out! Je l utilisé depuis 3 ans chaque été et presque tous les jours pour baigner mes deux amstaff . La femelle abîme le sien petit à petit ne pouvant s empêcher de le mâchouiller mais c est le plus résistant que j’ai trouvé et qu ils apprécient le plus avec une très bonne visibilité . Je préfère le gros qui résiste mieux mais il ne faut pas leur laisser après le jeu sinon forcément il sera détruit rapidement .

Great retrieval training toy for large breed dogs. It's about the diameter of a baseball, or a grapefruit. Highly visible, easy to throw, and easy to clean. I've seen some reviews on the smaller version of this toy, about how it's made of foam and wont stand up to big chewers. Please consider when buying this product that unlike the rubber KONG toys that you stuff with food, the foam is not meant for chewing. A large breed dog could rip this apart in seconds, and its not safe for dogs to ingest. I carry this toy on walks, and use it as a play reward. When we're done fetching I take it back and carry it. The purpose of soft (foam/feather) training dummies is to teach gentle handling during retrieval. KONG makes a really durable rubber frisbee that can be a great solution if you like to play tug and fetch at the same time.Doggo approves of this product
