Strut broke at join where it meets rack after using rack less than six months, and never with much weight on it. It only made it through one bikepacking trip.

Didn't work out well for me. set screws on support arms kept coming loose/slipping - I chucked the whole thing and bought a bike with a welded rear rack

Had to buy this for an upcoming touring trip because my wife's new bike doesn't have mounting holes. It's a good design, and seems sturdy enough in the right places. However, the included bolts are WAY too long, and were only a couple mm from hitting the spokes once installed. I'm pretty sure that even the smallest big of flex in the wheel or frame from actual riding would have caused a spoke to catch on the bolt, and at speed, that would have ruined a LOT of things.The rack only includes one size bolt, and it's a bit larger diameter than some of the other metric bolts I have lying around from bottle cages and the like, so my solution was to use bolt cutters and a bench grinder to shorten the bolts up myself.If you're using this on a road bike, you may encounter a similar issue.
