Hyper Pet Slow Feeder Dog Feeding Bowl, Green

Our pug bulldozes through her food like she's never eaten a day in her life, and you can hear she's just gulping down air as she goes. So I saw this on Amazon and decided to give it a try. She was already eating out of one of the maze-type bowls but after about a week using that, she'd figured out how to maneuver around it and stopped slowing down.This tray is very sturdy and has rubber 'feet' that keep it from being moved around. It's pretty large, maybe a foot across, with little divets for the food to go. We put one piece of food in each of the little spaces and it works perfectly in slowing her down! The first time we gave it to her, she went at it full force, stopped, looked up at us as if to say 'what the hell, guys?!?' and then proceeded to eat each piece out of the each cup. She's been using it for about a week now and I will admit she's gotten a bit faster, but I would definitely say that this has slowed her down and stopped her feeding frenzy.One other note..it's perfect for dogs with smooshed faces like pugs, boston terriers, etc, because the ridges in it aren't that deep. A lot of the other ones on Amazon had deep ridges that I think would be harder for this type of dog to get into. But then again, maybe that would be another measure to slow these chowhounds down?!?

We already owned one of these green slow feeder bone- shaped dishes, and it stopped our Florida Cur from gobbling, swallowing, and choking on his food. When we added our female Catahoula Leopard to our family, she kept eating out of Buddy’s special green bone- shaped dish. The funny thing is that when they had the choice to eat the food in the other stainless steel bowl, they would both eat out of the green slow feeder bone- shaped dish. I knew that we needed to purchase her one as well. Chewy stopped carrying this bone- shaped dish but Amazon came to the rescue! Now we have 2 happy eaters.

This bowl really slows down my Bernese Mountain Dog and it keeps the food in the bowl. Some competitors don’t have deep enough crevices or high enough sides and the dry food pushes out of the bowl as the dog eats it. I have actually purchased 2 of these bowls now - one for home and one for the pet sitter. Highly recommend.

We have an older dog that needed to slow down with the food intake. Through trial and error this is the bowl our dog liked the best. You can easily spread the food out over the bowl which also happens to slow him down. We also purchased an Outward Hound Fun Feeder Slo Bowl in Purple Flower for our larger dog. Both seem sturdy and are easy to clean. So far neither bowl has flipped over or has any other issues of that nature.

The media could not be loaded.  It works! I’ve tried others and this is the only one that worked this well. Now my famished growing puppy doesn’t gulp down his food in ten seconds!

It slowed my moose's eating speed. Gave the other dogs time to finish their meals before she did so she wouldn't bother them to take their food.
