Obagi Sunscreen Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen, combines UVB absorption and UVA protection, 3 oz

This is an excellent sunscreen, and I highly recommend it. It has a dry-touch finish, does not feel sticky or greasy, and does not sting my eyes. It feels comfortable on the skin and works very well for everyday use.

Rich and creamy sunscreen that is high spf and offers broad-spectrum coverage. Initial application leaves a white cast but once it absorbs it makes my skin look even better, smoother and more even-toned. I can’t use it on my eyelids, though because the chemicals do irritate. I use a mineral sunscreen on my eyes and forehead instead.

I live in Florida and I need a strong sunscreen every day. I have oily skin and this product is truly a godsend. It's matte, even in high humidity, and it doesn't slide off in the heat. I use it mixed with moisturizer (Embryolisse) under my makeup and the two products together help my makeup last all day. (I know mixing the sunscreen with moisturizer dilutes the SPF but even if it's down to 30, it still protects well enough for my daily needs.) In really hot weather, I use the sunscreen alone. It absorbs in under a minute and I'm good to go. It has no fragrance, which my sensitive skin appreciates. It's really thick and rich and a little goes a long way. I can cover my face and neck with one small dollop. The true test of a sunscreen is whether or not the sun gets through when you're outside all day. I can honestly say that not one single ray gets through this formula. It's also reasonably priced, which everyone appreciates. I didn't think a high SPF matte sunscreen existed, so this product is exactly what I was looking for. I like everything about it and I feel like my skin is truly protected. I highly recommend this product.

I was reluctant to use Obagi product in the past because a few friends used Obagi peeling products and their faces were as red as lobster shell.... While hunting for a good sunscreen with high SPF (l live in tropical country), l came across this product and was surprised to see the 4 & 5 stars given by reviewers. I thought l would give it a try since the price offered by Amazon is pretty reasonable. This is the 1st time l use Obagi product and l must give this product a 5 stars for its non greasy, easy to apply smooth texture that does not clog my pores while giving me the protection needed.An update: l am still using it. Happier with it than the very 1st time l tried. With SPF50 l feel confident of good protection. My freckles have not increased in numbers nor in darkness. this is a very welcoming thing. I should mention Obagi sunscreen smooths out evenly and easily on my skin without greasiness or heaviness. I can wear it all day long without extra oil on the T section. It also gives a nice finish as if l powdered my face.

Previous to this, my favorite sunscreen was Neutrogena Pure and Free, which is about $10 for 1.4 ounces; with that in mind, the price of this didn't bother me, since its twice as much product, for not too much extra; and trust me, the extra quality is worth the extra $10 or so.I'm obsessed with skincare, but I really HATE most facial sunscreens; they usually sting my face/and or eyes, cause rashes or breakouts, and are really shiny and greasy. What I liked about the Neutrogena sunscreen is that it has a high SPF, is VERY gentle, and VERY matte! Matte is a must as I have oily skin. The only things I didn't like about that sunscreen are the runny consistency, which made application difficult, and the horrid white cast it left without makeup.This sunscreen is a thicker, creamy formula, that doesn't leave a white residue at all, and is just as matte! It also has a high spf, and lots of zinc, which is really great for your skin in addition to blocking the sun. It has lots of silicone in it, which in some products makes me break out, but I haven't had any issues so far. Additionally, it kinda acts like a primer thanks to all those silicons!The one downside is I occasionally do get a bit of balling up when I put makeup over it; it's usually pretty minor, still kind of annoying! But this is the best sunscreen I've found thus far, so I'll stick with it.

ok, I hate long reviews so ill try and keep this brief: This is by far the best sunscreen I have ever used!!! I have dry skin so i was a little skeptical based on the other review saying it was meant more for oily skin, but I ordered it anyway last month and I'm so glad I did. This stuff does not smell bad and is not oily like all the other sunscreens-- its feels like a totally different composition on your face, kinda like a light silky lotion. It spreads very evenly and I never feel like im wearing a super heavy duty suncreen, and a SPF 50 for that matter! if you have really dry skin I recommend using your fav moisturizer under this stuff.This is also a must have if you are on the obagi nuderm system. I've been using neuderm line for 3 months now and bought cetaphil spf 45 facial sunscreen, thinking it would be sufficient.But it was sooo oily, smelly, and did not go on well under make-up. Since this feels so light it goes on amazingly under makeup and is actually less expensive per ounce than cetaphil. The only down side to this product is that it's not waterproof, but who cares, at least it's great for every other day!

i'd been using this product for over two years and it was my favorite sunscreen. i liked that it had a good concentration of zinc but really did not have that white cast and was truly matte. so when i got my last bottle, i was very surprised when i first opened the bottle, a horrendous, medicinal smell assaulted me. that was when i knew something was up. when i put it on, it was greasy AF. Totally not what you want when you shell out $50 for 3 ounces of sunscreen. This stuff is seriously unusable. Anyway, I called Obagi's customer service number and they confirmed that they recently changed the formulation. Didn't offer a refund or anything when i told them about the terrible smell and greasy feel. Anyway, it appears they almost doubled the zinc oxide concentration, which may account for the smell. Who knows. But unfortunately, this no longer appears to be a high quality product and i will be looking for an alternative

"They say" you should wear sunscreen daily. I have tried to follow this advice, particular in recent years. I am 43, very fair, and just recently had to have a basal cell carcinoma removed from my forehead. It was definitely a wake up call and I set out to finally find a sunscreen I would apply each day.Other sunscreens I'd tried invariably made my skin break out. They also tended to leave a whitish film on my face. A friend of mine suggested Obagi Medical after his own experience with basal cell carcinoma. I hesitated a little at the price, but it takes such a small amount to cover my face that this tube will last a very long time.This sunscreen absorbs easily, isn't greasy, doesn't leave a white film, and doesn't make my skin break out. Any makeup I want to apply goes on without any effort. I like the peace of mind that comes from using a sunscreen and the fantastic performance of this product. I absolutely plan on continuing to use this.

The cream texture has some particles that I think it was unstored well. So I can’t use it and should return back

I have tried many sunblock brands this one stands out ,no white resfue a little shinny but a good shield the only downside it is very extensive
