Simply outstanding.
Pros:- Clicks are tactile, the Hori proprietary switches feel great and offer great feedback, stiff but not too stiff.- Some of the best click latency on the market, not as good as Logitech but better than Zowie.- Sensor implementation is great!- Lots of buttons, lots of things to do!Neutrals:- Scroll wheel is too loose for my liking, it could probably be fixed with the paper or cardboard trick, also rattles when I move the mouse left or right on my product, maybe my product is faulty but definitely not worth returning over.Cons:- Software is really trashy, but since this is a review of the product and not the software, I'll consider this a con but not deduct from the overall score.- Extremely heavy with the weight but very much bareable without it.

Had it for a year (Lots of pros with a few minuses)
This is an interesting mouse, and for less that $30, it is great. The bad:The mouse wheel is loose. Very loose. I opened the mouse up and added some glue to secure the wheel to the rotating axle. Problem solved. This might not matter to some but I felt this mod was worth doing. The software is just okay. It is not very user friendly but it functions well enough. You can setup multiple profiles, and even tune the mouse to the specific surface you use. The mouse saves your profile so you don't need to have the software running all the time. The cable is super stiff. It's actually so stiff that you can intentionally bend it to the point where it can be its own mouse bungee. That being said I don't notice it during use so maybe it isn't that big of a deal. The good:The shape is one of the best I've used. It is a safe, symmetrical shape, allowing you to adjust your grip to your liking. Very comfortable for long use, and the buttons are located in such a way that I don't accidentally hit the right side clicks. The coating. Fantastic and holds up well. It is a soft touch rubberized finish, and most mice I've used with such a coating has been an oil magnet. This one looks surprisingly clean after a year of use. Great job Hori!Aluminum mouse shoes are a great idea. Super smooth and glide effortlessly. I wish more mice had this. The clicks are light and crisp. Naturally this is subjective, but the proprietary Hori switches are unique and nice. Only light force is needed but they aren't too light, so no accidental clicks. Very unique feel and sound. Also the looks (IMO), and lighting. Some will want more brightness but I normally turn brightness down on RGB from default. This is subtle and looks good.Overall:This has been my daily driver for the past year. I like it a lot but I do want to reiterate that I needed to tweak the mouse wheel. The metal feet, the shape, the clicks, the coating: it's all great, and even when I try a new mouse I keep coming back to this guy.

Great mouse
I am very pleased by my purchase of the Edge 101 Gaming Mouse. Build quality seems very good and the mouse has a premium sensor in the PixArt SDNS-3988 Optical Sensor. I was worried about the steel plate and steel mouse feet but my concerns were unwarranted. The mouse does not feel too heavy even with the steel plate attached and it glides effortlessly on my mouse pad. Performance is excellent in all areas. The mouse looks great and I really like it's large size. It feels extremely comfortable in my hands and it has a nice texture to it. All buttons work well and seem to be good quality. Others have expressed concern about the scroll wheel but I found it to be just fine and have no problems with it. Likewise, past complaints about the software appear to have been addressed. It's a little hard to find the software on the Hori website and get started with it, but once you do it works fairly well.In the end, I think the Edge 101 Gaming Mouse is an excellent mouse and a great deal at it's current price. Highly recommended.

Can’t believe it’s this good!
Been using an ambidextrous gaming mouse for 20+ years, and can’t live without programmable buttons on both sides of the mouse for FPS games. When my current mouse died, I decided to give the Hori Edge 101 a try, since it wasn’t crazy expensive ($18 on sale), and had very good reviews. After 6 months of use, I’ve decided I will buy an extra one, or maybe two just to have as a backup…it’s that good!Pro’s:PriceExcellent weighting (must remove optional extra weight mounted to the bottom)Fully adjustable RGB lightingTons of programmable buttonsExcellent quality feel for main buttons (L click/R click)Roller wheel feels good (although some have said theirs felt very loose)Soft touch exteriorFits perfectly in my hand (can’t guarantee it will for you though)Cons:RGB lights aren’t very brightToo heavy (when using optional weight)Cord retains kinks from being packagedMouse tweaking app can be wonky (RGB color adjustment didn’t work for two days, then somehow fixed itself)In the end, it took almost no time to get used to this mouse, and it’s been a solid performer in any game you can throw at it.

Definitely my favourite mouse, but don't expect to customize with software
I love this mouse, the shape is perfect for me and I love the dual side buttons on each side. The sensor is really precise and the weighting is comfortable and adjustable as well. The side buttons smoothly fade between colours and the cable is a good quality braided one. However this wouldn't be an honest review if I didn't point out some faults.First off, as I mentioned in the title, the software to customize it doesn't work. Others have mentioned this as well. No matter what settings you try to change, none of those changes will actually apply. So if you like the mouse out-of-the box, you'll be happy, but don't expect to customize it, what you get is what you get.Secondly, the cable has an annoying thick rubber bit coming out of the mouse which is stiff and ends up making the cable get caught on stuff and have the mouse be tugged around. I wish they just had the soft braided material through and through, that rubber bit is really annoying.Lastly, the side buttons near the back of the mouse aren't particularly useful. They're difficult to press so if you're buying the mouse specifically for them, you might want to think twice, since they aren't the mouse's best feature by far.All in all though, this is a really solid mouse with great build quality and great performance. If you find ambidextrous shaped mice like this comfortable, you'll be very happy.

Absolute Top Maus

Good entry level gaming mouse.
The mouse is aesthetically pleasing at is comfortable to use (ambidextrous mice don't have thumb rests, although those designs are usually more expensive anyway). It is fairly bulky, so children or ladies might want to find a retailer to test it out (if Hori sell to retailers). It has plenty of buttons and the LED lights pulse through them, always useful when gaming in low-light. The mouse sensitivity is very smooth and worked very well on the sofa without the aid of a mouse mat.Usual gaming features are present (DPI control from the mouse, weight options (2) and plenty of buttons (11)). The cord is braided.Software to add extra functionality (macros, further LED control) is via digital download. There is no web address provided and not immediately apparent on their website (US only). I assume this is due shortly, however didn't impede the use of the mouse for everyday gaming. It worked straight out of the box on Windows 10.I noticed an odd flexing action when pressing the buttons hard, so a deft touch may be required to ensure the longevity of the mouse. Apart from that, this is a good solid gaming mouse that does the job very well.
