Hike Crew 11” RV Roof Vent Fan – 12V Motorhome Fan w/ 3 Speed Intake & Exhaust – Manual Crank Lift & Smoke Lid – Includes Screws & Garnish

Since Ford vans don't come with pop out rear windows anymore I use this fan for temp and humidity control. Love that I comes with a screen and several speeds. Works great mounted vertically on the rear of my van. I swapped my rear window with plexiglass so I could install this without cutting a hole in my roof. I used a dremel to cut down a feature in the upper left corner that I assume is for a motorized version of this fan (not necessary to do this, it just bugged me). There is also a dummy power button on the inside that I assume is also for the motorized version. I lightly sanded the outside mounting flange and painted it black then cut the overlapping boxes way down because my mounting surface is not 4 inches thick like a RV roof. I made a wood frame (again painted black) to reinforce it and give some decent material to screw into from both sides. I ran the wires behind the door trim and into the van with a male cig plug on the end. I'm impressed with how much air it moves and that it does so VERY quietly!

If you are looking for a fan for a smaller space than a standard 14" would fit, this will work really well for what you need. Installation was easy to do alone and during operation the fan is very quiet while at the same time pulling a noticeable amount of air through. One small issue though is that they don't give you quite enough screws to properly secure everything, but if your garage is like most people then you probably already have some extra screws lying around that will do the job.

It was so hard to find a small fan to fit my NV200. This one fits perfectly.I put it off-center so I can eventually add a roof storage to my van. This made it more difficult to install because the roof was not even.It is much easier if you install it in the middle of your roof, but can work either way.

I wasn’t sure if this was going to work at first because I couldn’t tell just by looking at the picture alone. But I decided to order it anyway, so glad I did because it fit’s perfectly on the rooftop of the van. Having two speed intake and a three speed exhaust make’s it great for when I’m cooking in the van. So happy with my purchase.

I was apprehensive about this purchase from other reviews.Don't let the bad reviews sway you! Quiet, even on high, moves lots of air! Mastic or caulk is all that is not here and that is available anywhere.

Installed fairly easy in place of my vent that was existing. Works well, fairly quiet and moves a LOT of air. Even the intake mode works pretty well at drawing air in.

I used in my Metris Van and it’s exactly the size I was looking for! Recommend

Fan is ok, a little expensive, time will tell about reliability.One question: The manual mentions to clean the fan blades you need to remove the screw holding the fan but the screw is behind the screen... How do you remove the screen ? No instructions, if any and if you can remove it.
