Madeline's Rescue Misc. Supplies – October 29, 2009

This is one of only three Madeline books that I really love. Great story, and it has many phrases from the original which my toddler loves. The story is fun and the art is beautiful. More detailed and colorful than the first.

My granddaughter’s first and middle names are Madeline Genevieve. My daughter is fluent in French and is teaching her. So, this book is perfect. They have two dogs, so that link is a bonus.The book arrived in perfect condition. Great quality. The deliver was very fast. Perfect transaction.Highly recommended.

This was one of my favorite books as a child and it didn't disappoint. The book came in excellent condition and it's large enough to read easily and see the pictures really well. 4-year-old loves it..

This is a wonderful story, with wonderful pictures. There are many reviews recapping the story, so I won't do so now. I will tell you that my daughter LOVES this story, and at the age of 2 had memorized every word on every page, and would "read" it to herself in her crib at night, imitating the voices that I had used when I read it to her. This story, along with all of the other original Madeline stories, should be a permanent addition to any little girl's book collection. It seems like a story that little boys would love as well, as does "Madeline and the Bad Hat". I highly reccomend this book.

There is simply NO WAY to give Bemelmans' wonderful illustrations and stories less than five stars..if more stars were available I'd give him those too. No one else has ever captured the beauty and romance of the city for children as well as he.The end papers and one illustration show the ile de cite, the pont neuf and the small park on the isle where now the tour boats are docked.That's all specially meaningful to me because it is from the bridge and into the Seine that I threw the key to the lock I secured to the bridge,honoring the love my deceased wife and I had for each other. In the little park below my grandaughters husband proposed to her.

My grandson loved Madeline so much that we bought a sequel. This is good. It's not brilliant like the original, but its good. My grandson liked it.

The character was very popular here in Brazil. with its animated series and its dvds that sold a lot in the early 2000s. the film with the actors was also shown on television. its popularity has dropped in the world. but it is still well watched in Portuguese on YouTube and other video platforms. but it is strange that there is not and does not seem to have been any version of the book in Portuguese. which is actually interesting because the books are old. I bought it exactly for the quality and impact it had on my childhood. And I say that I am very satisfied with the work.

A cute book in English. Not French. Will gift it to a niece.

This book is one of the jewel's of my childhood, along with Madeline, and now I'm sharing it with my grandchildren after enjoying reading it with my daughters when they were little. It doesn't age.

Madeline always delivers. Lovely illustrations, sweet stories & endearing rhymes.
