costs more than it should
overall, these are OK. just OK. the chalk is vibrant in color and nice and easy for my three year old to hold, but the packaging is non - existant. once you open the plastic, you better have your own container to put them in for storage. there's no cardboard chalk box like you'd expect. so for 9 bucks for a few pieces of loose chalk... nah. I'd pass.

Work perfect on chalkboard
We used chalk paint on a board to make a chalkboard for our toddler, and I searched seriously for hours to find good non-toxic chalk that wouldn't break super easily. We have loved this so far. It's a good size for little hands and pretty colors. It also erases great off of our chalk paint but I did make sure to prime before using with plain white chalk. Unfortunately a couple pieces have broken but we are also still in the process of teaching our toddler to be gentle with chalk so it probably would have happened regardless of what kind we got. We've used them for almost a month and most are still intact, broken ones are still perfectly usable because the chalk is big.

Works well but won’t last long
I like that this chalk is a little less dusty than other brands (although not completely dust free) and the colors are nice. My one year old is able to hold them and make scratches on the sidewalk. However I may get a less expensive pack next time because I don’t think these pieces will last very long.

Not dust free
Not dust free or powder free at all. If anything it has more than store bought ones do. My girl ends up with it all over her from just holding it. But they are large and last awhile.

Good but some issues
Got an easel for my 2yo niece and was looking for something that wouldn’t destroy my sisters house. This chalk broke in pieces upon carefully taking it out of the super tight plastic wrap. But that’s fine, we can deal. The frustrating part is this chalk is absolutely messy- especially for young kids who might press harder. I tried it and just from holding it I was FULL of chalk!Idk if dust free chalk truely exists but this isn’t it.However, for sidewalk chalk or if you have a place you don’t care gets messy- it’d be great.

Perfect!
After debating for almost 2 hours, I finally chose these. I need them for my 3yr. old Toddler G'Baby and the chalkboard. No reviews or info said any one chalk was good for blackboard...only as sidewalk chalk. So I am here to tell you these are soft, colorful on the board, small for toddler hands, and they came in ONE PIECE NO BROKEN ONES. See photo. These are the ones to get!

The best!
I realize it’s just sidewalk chalk but this stuff writes so nicely and is so pigmented that the color is very vibrant, and contrasts well on a sidewalk. There isn’t a carry case or anything like that, but the chalk is so good that it makes it worth it. Great stuff!!!
