Uncomfortable and therefore unusable.
The HooToo VR Headset seemed to have a lot going for it. Looked pretty good on paper (or...monitor), but in practice, it's not very good at all. There isn't a button to interact with the screen like on Google Cardboard, so the cardboard demos don't work very well. Whenever you go to select something, you have to slide the phone out and then select what you want, and slide it back in. This isn't so bad for longer videos that you just want to watch in 3D, but it sucks for any sort of game, or even if you just want to pause.Another flaw is that unless you have a tiny nose, it isn't very comfortable at all. I have a pretty average-sized nose for a Caucasian male, not huge, but not tiny either. The headset can't sit against my face without the hard plastic pressing uncomfortably against the bridge of my nose, and it becomes painful after just a few minutes.Another problem is that if you have a smaller phone (I have an iPhone 5), it doesn't sit up high enough and the bottom of the screen seems to be cut off. I ended up taping a pen to the bottom of the enclosure to prop the phone up, but even then it still sits a little low.You might be able to wear glasses with it, but I tried a few different pairs and couldn't get the comfort. The positives are that it's sturdy, there are vents and holes to pass charging and audio cables through, the headset is adjustable, and the lenses are adjustable as well. Those are all great features, but it's just very uncomfortable, and therefore, next to unusable.I got this when it was on sale for $20, but even that was too much.

Worth It!
We're pretty happy with this headset and have had a lot of fun watching 3d and VR flicks with our Samsung phones. We ordered 2 of these and feel we got our money's worth. We almost bought a more expensive version and are extremely glad we didn't. The quality of these headsets are good. They adjust well on our heads. They are fairly comfortable. I mean, I would rather not have to wear anything on my eyes and head in order to experience VR but that's not happening anytime soon, folks. All in all, we feel these are a great deal and a lot of fun to play with. We're happy with the purchase.Tip: When you order this, be sure to purchase a Bluetooth remote (and not one from China because we tried that, and 5 weeks later, we are still waiting to receive it). It is a huge hassle to play with, without the remote. We ended up Bunn another Bluetooth remote, locally. One star off of a perfect rating as it isn't as comfortable on our noses after 20-30 minutes. One of us feels this is a bigger deal (not me!). ;)

HooToo VR headset disappointing
The instructions are vague. Especially for VR first timer. My phone & husbands both got really hot in less than 2 minutes. That is mentioned in other reviews. On the 3 videos we tried to watch they were double images & couldn't figure out what we were doing wrong. Didn't seem as well made as Samsung. Yes this one was cheaper but retail price shows the same. Am disappointed I paid $21.99 but only getting $15.89 back. I was told on the phone return shipping was free so have to assume it's restocking cost as I sent it back the day after I received it so it isn't a late fee.Update: Though the product didn't work for us, Sunvalletech contacted us to see what they could do to help with or what we felt needed to be done to better the product. They also credited us the difference that Amazon did not credit us. I would definitely buy from this company again as there service & concern for their customers happiness is important to them. For that I am adding a star even though we weren't able to use the VR glasses.

A Real Review - Think of it as a Google Cardboard Deluxe.
I did NOT get paid or sent a free unit for this review. I am writing this because it's been impossible to find real reviews for these VR headsets. Almost all of them are from people who have received them as a gift for a review. Anyway here's the real deal. not bad. fits well, optics are descent. One problem though is the view area is more of a box, it doesn't wrap around the POV, like say the O.R. or even google cardboard. This is based on using an iphone 6s. I bet the 6+ or a bigger phone would give you a wider viewing angle. For twenty five bucks not a bad. Kinda cool to watch movies on, using one of the VR theatre apps. The best app I found is Cmoar. Why doesn't someone make a SAMSUNG like OR headset for iphone?!! TAKE MY MONEY!! Basically it's like a nicer designed, more comfortable google cardboard with a head strap.

Buying it is waste of money
Well,I was very intrigued VR and wanted to try by my own. so Bought this headset. This product is been total disappointment for me. let me start by cons.Cons:1. Fitting a mobile with headphone is diffiicult and really tricky. You have to put headphone from one hole and slide mobile from other opening and then you have to juggle to connect it. this was biggest concern.2. if you manage to set your mobile and headphone it, to click on mobile you have to remove headphone, take mobile out and click it, and juggle around to put mobile and headphone in VR box.3. It gets really hot inside, If your mobile gets hot coz of VR graphics load on GPU. you better not use it. I even tried using sliding window in front.4. doesnot work with google cardboad app.5. headband is not very good, but does its job.pros:1. Looks classy, like sci-fi movie glasses.2. It has very good Adjustable lenses, other than this i dont see any pros to it.
