My son hated the taste
He claimed it was too sweet, and gaged. I use their adult cough syrup and I loved it! So there it is…

Taste a little off but does the trick
My son wasn't a fan at 1st but he got used to it. It seems to help - not sure what Sambucus is but I even tried it myself and I didn't mind it. Great ingredients in it compared to your usual medicine. As for taste, it's medicine - I'm sure kids are not expecting anything other than medicine-tasting.

The taste is definitely different
So I'm a fan of Sambucus and all this cough syrup has to offer.I am not a kid, but I use childrens liquid cold meds periodically.I had a tickle/cough the other day that wasn't fully going away and immediately thought it was a good time to try this cough syrup.I gave it a good shake and I noticed after removing the seal the smell of Apple Cider Vinegar is very prevalent. That didn't deter me though.I poured out a dosage into the cup and down the hatch!Woo!I made a cringe worthy face as I tried to figure out what in the world this tastes like. I've drank ACV and honey added to teas and stuff before, but this wasn't quite the same. The closest I can come to describing what it tastes like to me is pickled beets.Yup, I typed that right.I like pickled beets, by the way, just wasn't expecting that flavor out of the bottle lol.Oh, and it actually did help quell my cough.

Nice berry flavor, but also strong apple cider flavor
The flavor of this syrup has a pretty strong-tasting apple cider vinegar component but the sweet berry flavor is much more pleasant than the cherry you commonly find in other cough preparations. This syrup comes in a small bottle, it is only 5" tall including the cap.IngredientsOrganic Honey; Organic Apple Cider Vinegar; English Ivy (leaf) Extract standardized to 11% hederacoside C; Organic Black Elder (Sambucus nigra L.) Extract (berry) standardized to BioActives from 3.2 g of premium cultivar elderberries per 3 teaspoon serving; Organic Glycerin; Purified Water; Organic Natural Flavor; Citric Acid (Preservative To Maintain Freshness)Ali Julia review

My kids will take this
I got this in case my kids got sick with a cough. They have yet to and considering they are taking an extended break from kid activities, they probably/hopefully won’t for awhile. So I decided we would see how it tastes to see if they would even use it when sick. I tried first and can only compare it to fermenting grape juice. There’s a hint of sweetness but I was thinking there’s no way my picky 4 year old will take it. Surprisingly both him and his 3 year old brother said they loved it. They only got a little taste to try it so I cannot report if it works though. It has many ingredients focused on immune health so I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt them to try it.
