Have to get used to the “paper” aspect after a lifetime of plastic straw use or metal. They definitely hold through a single beverage and I of course like that they are good for the planet :) so if not can adjust to the texture and understand the straw will eventually start to get “soggy” of left in liquid too long then I definitely recommend giving these a try. Solid product!

While these straws will still have the pitfalls of using a paper straw, they are thicker than most. That means that they don't get that slightly mushy feel quite as fast.One of the better alternatives to plastic straws, and not terribly expensive.

Love the straws, nice and study and don't have any taste. The straws last for hours too.

They are not cheap flimsy straws. They are high quality and don't fall apart easily like most paper straws.

I try to recycle whenever I can, or use items that can be used more than once, or in a new way.I have drinking straws that can be reused more than once, but I have come to the conclusion that I want a fresh, new drinking straw daily. Up until now, all of my drinking straws have been bendable plastic straws, and thrown away after using.These Hefty EcoSave 100% Compostable Paper Straws, 50 Count, White, they are a great compromise, tho I do wish that you could compost them yourself, and that they were Bendable Drinking Straws, but because they are made of paper, maybe that is not an option?These Drinking Straws are made of very sturdy paper, tho obviously the part of the straw that is in the liquid gets softened by whatever you are drinking, since it's sitting in the liquid.Obviously these Drinking Straws are only to be used in cold, not hot beverages.I'd love to see these Hefty 100% Compostable Paper Straws come is a larger box, say 100 Drinking Straws per box, instead of 50, and maybe have them come in colors other than white. Vibrant colors, or a pattern would be nice.These are a great alternative to plastic, throw away drinking straws.
