Great tent!Ours is 20 years old and treated us well.Make sure it comes with the rain fly.I suggest the extra Vestibule as well.
Excellent tent. We bought this for our daughter because we owned one for many years and love it. It has kept us dry in rain storms with the additional rain fly, however, the ground cloth (not included) position is also a big part of having a dry tent. Easy to set up, even for one person. It is not light enough for backpacking but is great for campgrounds, back yards and even canoe camping in the Adirondacks. We also bought the vestibule that is available to purchase separately. The vestibule is definitely worth the extra cost because it offers an area to keep your shoes, firewood and any extra gear dry from the elements without having to bring them into the sleeping area. Thus, offers you more room inside the tent. The tent is perfect for two people and their gear bag, backpack, etc. It is okay for three adults with hardly any room for anything else. Four adults would definitely be pushing it. If it were raining, then the two outer people would have a wet tent rubbing on them with absolutely no room for any gear. Two adults and two children would be okay but a snug fit with one crosswise. Our tent is 20 years old and the waterproofing is starting to wear off. The zippers, screen/netting, floor and wall material, stakes and poles have lasted great and are all still functioning and original. I would highly recommend this tent. Make sure it is completely dry before storing and it will last for years. We mostly use ours wilderness camping in the Adirondacks, NY.

Iconic design
One of my favorite tents. Very reliable. Easy to set up. Withstands all kinds of weather. Roomy enough for people and light gear.

Excellent tent!
I bought this because like many others, I used this exact model of tent when I was in the boy scouts. I recently used this on a cold and wet 5 day motorcycle camping trip across Ontario Canada and the north shore of Minnesota and it worked well. My primary concern was getting this in the saddlebag of my Kawasaki Vaquero. All but one of the poles are 21'' but the center of the ridge pole one is 23.25''. The tent can be folded and rolled in that same roughly 24'' by about 6'' thick which made it just small enough to works for me. I picked up a Tebery tent footprint (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FCPP6BG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that worked very well for this tent and that combo kept everything dry through some moderate rain. The tent footprint rolls up and stores in the Eureka! bag so that was convenient. I did not seam seal anything before the trip and with how well everything worked, I won't be in the future unless something changes. Temps got down to about 40 degrees F at night but I had no condensation issues with the vents cracked. Setup is just like I remember, very quick and easy and everything seems to be comparable quality to the ones I used in the 90's. The only difference I can see is that they no longer put the second door on the back of the tent which isn't a deal-breaker for me although that was a nice feature. It still has rings at the top corners of the inside of the tent so I recommend trying a para-cord line between them as that makes a handy place to hang a light or a wet item of clothing to dry. I highly recommend this tent!

Backpacking and kid car camping, all good!
I grew up camping in the 4-man version 30-some years ago, and when my parents downsized recently I inherited the same tent! I bought the 2-man version so when we car camp I can have the vintage palace and the kids have their own space in the new one. It says a lot about the design that decades later it remains fundamentally unchanged! The original larger tent and the new smaller one both made it through torrential rain and hail just a couple of weekends ago with not a drip inside. I haven't gotten them for the 2-man yet, but I highly recommend the vestibule add-on, especially if there's any chance of camping in the rain. Having the covered space to don and doff shoes on the front or for extra dry storage space on the back is worth every penny.Have taken the 2-man on 2 backpacking trips now, first with a buddy and 2nd trip solo. I cut the bungees on the poles so that I could distribute individual pieces in my pack however I wanted. Makes for great weight distribution to have the pole segments straddling my water bladder closer to my back with the bulk of the tent body and fly farther out in the middle of the pack. The huge windows front and back make for an epic view first thing in the morning! There's plenty of room for 2 adults to sleep (but bulky gear like a pack would be better off in a vestibule or other sheltered spot). As with all tents, cut the capacity in half if you also want a huge amount of STUFF in there with you.Definitely recommend the Timberline tents, hands down best value for timeless quality.

Durable, stable, well-made tent
If you're looking for a 2-person tent (or 1 person and a large dog) that is well made, relatively light as a backpacking tent, designed to be sturdy and able to withstand harsh weather conditions, the Eureka Timberline series will not disappoint and is worth every penny.Highly recommended!

Great tent.
Great tent. It would be nice if it had a vestibule, but it's a super roomy 2p tent. It's a basic, durable tent model and it certainly delivers on that.

Good solo camping tent.
Nice tent. I got it for solo camping and its great for that. Easy to set up and take down by your self. It is a newer tent so it uses a thiner material but if taken care of it will be a good tent for years.
