4 stars
This an excellent self-study course for a beginner. It's only shortcoming is the small size of the Hebrew fonts and for that I rated it 4 star. A largersize font would facilitate reading the lesson material.

The typeface is extremely small …
This very basic self-teacher is … just ‘OK’, as self-teachers go. But the typeface made it impossible for me to use the book effectively. (The point size of much of the text is problematic, particularly if you need to be able to see the niqqud - the vowels - as you learn … ) My eyesight is relatively good; readers required for small print only.Your mileage may vary!

Got a magnafying glass?
Book not much use if you don't already read Hebrew.Print so small one needs a magnafying glass.didn;t care for the way it was organized. More a phrase book for travelers than a course in Hebrew.Sorry I bought it.

... positive because the course is well-organized and the content useful BUT the book should have been proofed more carefully
This review should be more positive because the course is well-organized and the content useful BUT the book should have been proofed more carefully. There are many errors, for example where the hebrew and the transliteration don't match.

forget it
The Hebrew script in the text is so small, it's illegible. That's not a good thing when trying to learn a foreign script. I ended up returning the book partway through the first chapter. Find a book with larger script.

Za mały format!
Produkt dla młodych o dobrym wzroku. Dla osób starszych druk jest za mały, co utrudnia rozróżnianie liter alfabetu hebrajskiego.

Take it with a grain of salt, and you can’t go wrong
The font is absolutely fine for people without visual impairments to read. The sensationalistic “TOO SMALL” reviews are quite simply ridiculous. Also, the book is not comprehensive of Hebrew as no book could possibly represent an entire language and culture in ~150 pages. Honestly.. learning a language is hard. It just is. There are no shortcuts, no ways to speed it up. It’s difficult. If you’re serious about learning any language, buy 2 beginners books, heck buy 3.. read them, try and learn from them and choose the one that best suits your learning style and return the others. Learning a language is a beautiful way to show your respect for a culture and to learn things from people you couldn’t have possibly spoken to without learning their language. This book is sincerely perfect for me and I look forward to working my way through it and the rest of the series!!תודה ובהצלחה לכולם

..it's okay
I just started the book and it is okay but there is definitely lots of space for improvement. The hebrew letters are very small and not too easy to read. It's also hard in the beginning to understand the content because some phrases are not translated and you don't really know what is being talked about. Also sometimes the audio file and the book don't match. Would maybe recommend but maybe it's also better to get something more pricey.

No Audio Avaiable
Pity there is no audio available for this book would make a big difference otherwise need to find other audio sources on the Internet to follow the dialogs and correct pronunciation of the words.
