I have been meaning to get one of these for a long time. No more setting my gas cap on my seat or somewhere else.

Until I saw this magnet product, I would also drop my gas cap in my drink holder when I was filling up. This is a quick and easy solution for "Where DO you put the gas cap while you refill??" Pulled the adhesive back off the magnet, stuck it to my gas cap and let it sit for a day or two (primarily as I wasn't riding right then). I think it would have been fine to use immediately. My only negative - I wish the magnet were a bit stronger. An inadvertent nudge can knock the gas cap off the ignition while refueling.

You never know how much you need something till you try it. It lets me stick my gas cap to my tank while fueling, never dropping in the ground again.

I often still drop the gas cap. If I don’t place just right it falls off while fueling. The magnet needs to be stronger. Good idea but not good enough.

Lost one early on a long trip. Bought another cap, then saw this. Don't need the extra cap due to this magnet.

I used to just sit on the gas cap when filling up. NOW I just magnetically stick it to my bars which is awesome! Little pricey for a magnet but it gets the job done.
